Peter Uihlein

I had not heard of him until today as he stands in 3rd place in the LIV event. He was suspended by the PGA and had played in 11 majors, missed the cut in all but three and best finish in those three was a tie for 42nd. He won twice in 2013, once in 2017 and once in 2021. That's his resume.

How he ended up with the LIV not sure. That could be a player who is thrown out of the field of 48 at some point.
I hope he wins or finishes third since the cash may come in handy when Norman dumps him and the PGA won't let him back in. I guess there is some Asian tour he could play for a living.

I glanced at the standings for the Champions Tour event today and Ernie Els in the lead. I thought about his resume and went to look. According to Wikipedia and my calculator he has won 4 majors and top 10 in a whopping 31 majors.

He also won the USGA Am. And his dad was the CEO of Titleist back in the day - not really HIS resume...but that's really why I know the name.

Was he suspended because of LIV? Or before he joined LIV?

On June 9, 2022, Uihlein was one of 17 PGA Tour members suspended for playing in the Saudi-backed
LIV.

Ought to be quite the clown show in Miami next week. I imagine Trump will be front and center trying to make it all about him. Does anyone care whether the Crushers beat the Fireballs or can even name two players on either team? I've tried but I just don't get the team thing.

Phil is matched against Cam Smith tomorrow in Miami in one of the singles matches. Other than that one I can't find another I want to watch. The mixed format of singles and teams is rather confusing.

Didn't watch.. didnt' even know until I heard something about DJ winning (or splitting?) $16mm.

But just went to the site... so that last tournament was just a teams thing?
I see that the format for the first two days was two singles match and a foursomes match. Then the winning team goes to semis, same format. Then the last day is just aggregated stroke play scores by team....

I hope Cam Smith got something for roasting the entire field on that last day. He tied the entire winning team by himself. LOL.

Anyone finding a way to watch LIV live? Youtube is full of links to taped coverage. Live coverage shows a large banner middle of the screen. It mentions clicking on "chat" for url's and they lead to "blocked" websites.
I'd like to watch but will not pay to watch it. The only live link I found had the screen covered 65%.

Today the live streaming seems to be live vs. tape delayed and no banner covering the screen. If their goal is to make $$ them maybe free views won't be available in the future. We don't get the network they have a contract with and never will. Supposedly the network has 100 million viewers. There are places in the world and people in the world who have no other way to view the LIV golf except YT.

Don't they have their own app/portal for this now?
CW seems a pretty basic channel? But I'm sure it's still not 100% available in every market.

Regardless, didn't watch. Was more interested in Eric Cole and Chris Kirk battle it out. Was really hoping Eric Cole would finally get his shot. But the Chris Kirk story was also pretty good.
