Rant: It's raining
Rant: It's supposed to reach a high of 60 degrees
Rant: Weather forecast says rain all the way to Fort Meade
Rant: Possible severe weather with damaging hail
Rave: Truck runs good!
Rave: Truck has heater
Rave: Truck has windshield wipers
Rave: I'll be dry in truck.
Rave: rain.
Rant: slowing up work.
Rave: organized my shop and serviced chain saws.
Rant: still sore from mowing cemetery.
Rave: worth it.
Rave: mrs 4020 wants a camper.
Rave: There was snow between Custer and Hill City.
Rant: Rained the whole trips.
Rave: There was snow between Custer nad Hill City, did I mention that?
Rave: bah, you did.
Rave: Rain
Rant: working in rain.
Rave: Not having to haul water to the garden.
Rant: Need to build a fence.
Rave: Mowing a cemetery earlier this week. Well I came across a dead bullsnake. So I shoveled him out of the way. The next morning a scavenger bird getting ready to have dead snake for breakfast, when I disrupted dinner. As he was getting ready for takeoff I told him "carry on you ol' buzzard."
Rave: bah, you did.
Rave: Rain
Rant: working in rain.

Rant: Need to build a fence.

Rant: I'm sorry, I owe you a cup of coffee when we can get together.
Rave: I have to go to Sturgis every 3 months, so we will hook up for that cup.
Rant: I took lots of pictures and I am without words at the growth in the hills. I am used to mountains with nobody living anywhere, just wide open area. I grew up in the Black Hills and I am appalled at the old "neighbor hood." When I grew up there, it was a mile to the neighbors house. Not it's about 300 ft. I will include pictures of my old house up in the hills.
Rant: On May 24, I run through snow getting to Sturgis. Mostly rain, but when I hit Custer, it was snowing.
Rave: The appointment went well.
Rave: I'm home again, where you travel for over 100 miles and never see a business and only 4 ranches.
I'm too negative a person sometimes (at least I think) .. I hate to rant... but it's cloudy and 64 here in Brookings... and 55 miles to the south in Sioux Falls it's 80. This is like the 4th or 5th time in the last couple weeks Sioux Falls has been 10+ degrees warmer... so I have to rant. That's just the way Brookings ends up, gotta adapt or leave. A lot of people would like that it's cooler here.
But the cutoff line is so close, and so sharp.. it's no cooler in Brookings than in northern North Dakota... as we approach June, after an admittedly beautiful spring, I tire of seeing a week of highs in the low 60's when I'm salivating for some upper 70's and 80's. From now on I just drive to Sioux Falls or Yankton if need be with the road bike in the trunk if I see this coming and enjoy it.
(Actually Dell Rapids, which is only about 18 miles north of Sioux Falls, is 10 degrees colder. That's where the front is right now.... yeah I'm a bit of a weather nut and get fascinated by stuff like that)
Rave: I am not worried about it Elk, and I'll buy.
Rave: Road trip. Out of town.
Rant: Humidity in Sioux Falls.
Rant: Service in downtown Sioux Falls and the restaurant we ate at was dismal and disappointing.
Rave: Rapid has better used book stores and downtown area, IMO.

A lot of people would like that it's cooler here.
