Yeah - They might even spend precious time blogging on CD. Friggin' losers.

Wonder where that perfectly lowtech, knuckle-dragging slackjaw paradise lies 'round these parts? Points east?

You've got it totally backwards - it's expensive here BECAUSE so many people want to live here.
Limited supply of space, high demand for it.

There's a good reason they call it Man Jose.

I think San Jose sucks.

Sure it's clean, safe, and expensive, but it's incredibly dull and vapid.

I know I'll enrage a lot of South Bayers by saying this, but I don't even really consider it to be a part of the Bay Area. I'd honestly rather live in Sacramento.

Oakland is dirty and dangerous. Downtown Oaktown is incomplete. Former Mayor Brown had a good 10k vision for Oakland, but he didn't finish the job. Oakland is only step sister to San Francisco and San Jose and very boring.

Some people have great jobs. Others don't care about owning homes. Many make enough so that they don't have to have roommates. Others are here because of family connections, which is especially true for 1st & 2nd generation immigrants.

OK, you can stop trolling now. If you don't want to live here, you don't have to. We have a lot of problems here. If you don't want to deal with them, that's understandable. But there's no need to go on and on about it.
