The IE is pretty big but for "good" I'd shoot for Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, Loma Linda, Murrieta/Temecula, Riverside (some, not all) Mountains (Big bear, Lake Arrowhead, Crestline (eh) areas)

Not so good - Moreno Valley (some of it is okay but it's a crap shoot) Colton, San Bernardino (although parts of East Highland are good) Grand Terrace is another one that I'm right next to and it's okay.

Baseline/Arrowhead are the worst of the SB city. Anything downtown and near bus stations but that's true anywhere I guess?

The area south of the I-10 freeway in Redlands is nicer and more $ than north of the freeway

General rule of thumb: stay as far away from San Bernardino as you can manage.

San Bernardino has some nice areas though, especially Verdemont (off of Palm Ave on the 215 freeway) and North Park (near the university). Looks a lot like Rancho Cucamonga or Chino Hills. I agree though, stay away from downtown, baseline-highland (anything in between), del rosa and anything west of the 215.

When I worked in Chino Hills, I knew a girl from there. She was surprised I knew where it was.

I'm from Home Gardens, so it takes a lot to scare me.

Google Streetviewed a few random spots in Muscoy... one very prevalent theme is chain-link fences.

Not sure about worst part, but best parts are Alta Loma, North Upland (above 210), and R.C. (generally north of Baseline). Alta Loma #1 in my book. Moved there from Claremont couple years ago.
