KABB last night said the high over Texas would push it into Mexico and keep it far from us. We might get a tiny bit of the edges, though. We pretty much need a direct hit..

weather.com is saying it's 103 right now (I'm guessing at the airport). Is that true? It's warm, but it just doesn't seem like it's that hot.

i dunno how accurate these are, but wunderground has readings from various locations around san antonio: San Antonio, Texas (78201) Conditions & Forecast : Weather Underground (click on "stations" to get different locations).

it's hard for me to gauge myself, it all feels like the same horid sticky heat to me, as long as it's in triple digits.

Out here on the far west side it's really windy and dry. I could tell it was warm from the sun, but the wind was making it feel quite a bit cooler than it actually was, which is annoying when you're walking to the mailbox trying to warm up from the stupid a/c setting your wife won't let you increase...

This upcoming week should be interesting as a tropical wave moves into the gulf from the caribbean. Models currently suggest landfall somewhere between Corpus to Northern Mexico.

Hopefully, this tropical wave develops into a hurricane and drops plenty of rain in Texas.

Official high at SAT this afternoon was 101 degrees. I believe that makes it 17 days at or above 100 degrees so far this summer, with definitely more to come....August is on average the hottest month of the year! For those of you keeping score....the average number of 100 degree days was exceeded back in early June at 8 while the record for the most 100 degree days in a given year is......wait for it.....59!! Don't see that happening...hopefully SAguy's tropical wave will come through.
