You can't - EVERYONE knows this city is all about being "Little Mexico". With all due respect, there's major enclaves of Poles, Germans, etc. all over the place - but there's no real recognition for 'em.

San Antonio should emphasize its German culture more. I know it a Hispanic city but other nationalities live here too.

Germans have been in the San Antonio area even before the Alamo battle of 1836. There is German influence throughout the city and surrounding area. People in the German American community need to be more vocal. A good place to start would be a campaign to change the King William district back to Kaiser Wilhelm!

Sorry to hear your venture out there was Lousy. I have been hearing that they are definitely not good. But I guess you must venture on your own to check for yourself.

There are no Polish restaurants in San Antonio with all the Polish people in the area. The only Polish style restaurant I been to here in SA is Mr. and Mrs G. on WW White Rd

What kind of dish/food do you want exactly? Have you been to New Braunfels.

wCat: nothing particularly, just wanted a decent German dish. I know German cousine, I used to live there over a decade. I just have a hard time to agree with the statements some "wanna be German" restaurants make, like: real German, authentic German etc. I would say, "German style" would fit them better. But this is just my opinion
