You might try calling Ben Buecker. He is an attorney in San Antonio who is also the Honorary Counsel for the Federal Republic of Germany, and has a lot of dealings with the consulate office in Houston. I'm not sure what you need or whether he would charge you or not, but he might be a place to start. As I am also not sure if I can post his information on the site, I will just say that if you type his name into a major search engine, it will take you to his contact information.

If you get here during Fiesta, come down to the Beethoven Mannerchor home on Perida Street (in King William) on Wednesday-Friday, as there will be plenty of Germans there who might be able to help you. They also will be there every first and third Friday starting in May for their Gardenfests. Best of luck.

The base legal office will help you with all the paperwork you need. If you need any help, DM me and I will get the info for you. Just let me know where your husband is going to be stationed (Ft Sam, Lackland, Medina, etc).

Und willkommen nach San Antonio!

Cheers! M2

The King William district is a must. Also, be sure to check out New Braunfels and Fredericksburg..
