I'm pretty sure the electrician that Armadillo used at the time our home was built (2006) is TMS. I'm going to look for the paperwork today. The only "quirky" thing we've experienced with our electric is the circuit that holds all the smoke alarms (ironically). We are having the whole system inspected before we rent it.

The road: I assume you mean Point Canyon... we are down at the opposite end of the infamous sink-hole. The county DOES have control now. In fact, they just made the latest repair, if you can call it that; it just failed again. This was the 5th repair since we have lived here. Wonder what's up with that?

Someone who lives in Highpoint has told me that there has been a rash of break-ins during the past few weeks in that village. At least 6 houses have been hit. Apparently, the thieves are casing the homes somehow. Each home has been broken into between 11 AM and 2 PM while no one was home.

I live in Highpoint and I do not believe this, FCF. First of all, there are many, many stay at home moms who are armed and dangerous. Second, we do all watch out and I've seen nothing going on. There are a lot of things that bother me about WC lately, but our village is very quiet, people use their porch lights, alarm systems, and keep their gates locked. We also have several SA police officers who live in Highpoint and patrol at the end of their shifts.

Of course, that is your choice whether to believe it or not. Good luck.

I just talked to my neighbor, a SAPD officer, who works second shift. He's heard nothing about this, but he's going to check into it.

Good. I hope it's not true. I'm only relaying what someone told me today at HEB. The man claimed that he lives in Highpoint. Maybe he's "full of it".

Not my part o' town, but wouldn't that be Bexar County that gets called way out there? The area looks like it's outside of the SAPD maps.

Yes, we are BCSO... we just happen to have 3 SAPD officers here and since it's their home, too, they patrol after shifts. Also, I'm betting he has access to county crime stats.

I talked to a BCSO deputy a couple of days ago after calling about a suspicious car in our part of WC. He said about 6-8 people were caught last weekend...he didn't specifically say they were burglarizing WC but sounded like the general area at least.

I also live in Highpoint and have not heard about any breakins. I feel that its still a very safe place to live.
