Could not fish so I put a few things on the boat. Two rod holders each holds four rods. This makes 20 rod holders on an 18' boat. That should be enough it's a little over 1 rod per foot. I also put a tackle web solutions bag on my console.

Has anyone noticed the lack of crab trap buoys blocking the channels lately? Is the 'season' over or is there another reason?

I pull them up and move them out of the channel all the time.

I feel your pain pat. I picked a pot up in my outdrive 2 yrs ago. Not the line, but the pot itself!! Wrapped the steel around my prop & shaft. Shut the engine down immediately. Thank gosh no damage.
Last week i pulled a pot out of the channel and the crabber saw me and confronted me. Not a good scene. My son was on the ski with me. The idiot put it right back between the markers!!! After he left I dragged it on the beach!! Asshat

I do to. I should have said there are much less traps in general in the harbor and canal mouths, and many of the ones missing used to be lining the channels. Was just wondering why there are so many less out there. I'm certainly not complaining!
