Apparently, politically incorrect words with more than one possible meaning are automatically caught by some text search program on the server, and the post will be deleted. Think "bucktail j**".

Will be challenging bringing home a 21' Stiffy with my F150 and no sliding rear window. I plan to use tie downs to strap it to the truck bed wall and rest it forward on my side view mirror. I hope I don't get stopped for driving down 75 with a big Stiffy hanging out my window. Wish me luck.
Hilarious :-)))

I think this forum blocks words that it deems 'racist' even if not used in that context.

so 'Jay Eye Gee' gets blocked out, even if referring to a type of weighted lure you bounce along the bottom.

Silly, but its all about being 'PC'

I'm still trying to figure out why my abbreviation for "kayak", when I used just the last three letters, was blocked in one of my previous post. I knew it could refer to some burly water-buffalo type animal but didn't know it to have any racial connotations.

Not kidding. If you spend any time on some of the other forums (there are many), you'll quickly discover that there are many, many trolls and ranters who apparently have nothing better to do than vent their frustration anonymously on whoever has the misfortune to be reading at the time. This forum has been mostly spared from that, primarily because most of us try hard not to respond when it shows up. Nonetheless, we bear the burden of having to type j** instead of you-know-what.

Y** = Derogatory term for an unattractive female, particularly an obese and/or smelly one.

Default I've been thinking about Messing About's Stiffy

I noticed that you got yourself a 21' Stiffy pole. I got to thinking, if they are used to pole around in the flats, why do you need such long poles? Seems like if it's too shallow for even a trolling motor then you could get away with a much shorter, say 8 - 10' pole. Even if you shut down the motor while in, say 6' of water, you can probably still get away with a 12' or so pole.
Since I'm a virgin to fishing the flats I'm just trying to learn so if I decide to get one in the future I don't get one too short. Or too long.
