The Panamera Turbo I drove was a blast to drive in comparison. After parking the Taycan, I jumped in a 2014 911 Turbo S and had time of my life in that!!

I'm eyeing a near new 911S right now in ice silver metallic...a new color for 911's starting in 2023.

Timing is bad though since I'm leaving FLA for 2 months soon.

It wont be available for long, so I'll miss out on this one.

New, and near new, 911' s might be the hottest cars in America right now. The track toys are all $200k+ now.

I like GT silver better.

GT3/ GT3RS is really a harsh ride, 95% of the owners won't track them they just buy them knowing the resale will be strong.

unless I was a rich collector, I'd pass on the GT cars.

If this were true, it would superficially inflate their value and leave many a bagholder, so-to-speak. In actuality, it’s the opposite; about 85% of us track them.

That said, I wouldn’t call it a harsh ride; rather, focused and engaged, as am I when I drive mine. :-)

Did you get your 992 GT3RS? Which color?

Typically, PCA membership is preferred; if you don’t yet own a Porsche, they offer a PCA test drive program as well.

I was an active PCA member for years, attended events, entered my 2006 Club Coup into Concours, ect..

I still couldn't get into the driving schools. I finally gave up. I didnt want to trash out my Club Coupe anyways on a track...would have liked to try it a few times though.

I should have kept my 2002 base 911 instead of trading it in for a measly $40k. I could have turned it into a track beast.

Oh well, live and learn...now out of the market until Labor Day. Hopefully prices will cool down on near new (2020-2023) 911S Coupes w/ PDK. Some seem to be sitting longer now, so I hope that trend continues.

I'd like to pay below original sticker price for a low mile "S". Right now, thaat's tough to do.

You didn’t want to trash it - what, lol? Did you give up trying to get into the ‘driving schools’, give up being a PCA member - or both?

That said, keep in mind your car must meet the requirements and pass a tech inspection relative to DE events. Although it’s not racing, HPDE is a stepping stone into PCA Club Racing; this is where the real fun/challenge begins. :-)
