Price reduction! Now, it's only $600K....

That's CGT money, not 911 money.

Sadly CGT's are all over 1mm now.

Most of the nice CGT's are over 1.4mm

Why do you think it ‘sad’ i.e. it’s the name-of-the-game relative to highly-sought-after collectible cars; triple the original price (or thereabouts) is a good thing. :-)

Its sad because as the prices rise, you will see less and less of the collectibles. I had a neighbor daily drive one for years but that's when they were cheap!

Dude, they were limited in production, even a few hundred less than originally planned; only about 600 were sold in the US, not to mention its supercar status/technology at the time. As such, its collectibility was established almost from the get-go. Hence, they’ve never been ‘cheap’; in fact, its MSRP would be equivalent to about $750k today.

Although a car is only worth what one can sell it for, obviously, their super car/collectible status was established early on. Keep in mind there were only about 600 sold in the US.

That said, condition/miles matter. BaT sold several in recent years with extremely limited miles (and no reserve) in the $1.6 to $2m range - including Seinfeld’s last year.
