The difference you are forgetting here is that Walmart is a BUSINESS, whose goal is to a make a profit. Businesses here aren't obligated by any means to give money to everyone when disaster strikes... People themselves giving money, now that is a different story... based entirely on how generous the individual is...

Could Walmart have given more? Sure they could have. But they were generous enough to give something atleast! Be grateful for that... $600,000 goes a pretty long way to buy food and water for a good chunk of people.

Be happy that people are donating anything at all

Liberals always come across as a bunch of spoiled brats... be happy that people are donating anything at all!
What are you talking about? I think everyone is happy that people and businesses are donating. Liberal me is very pleased that Walmart donated what they did, and, I am sure that what they donated in water, food, etc., though not specified, may be of even greater value than the cash.
As I recall Walmart was very quick to respond to Katrina as well, and I applauded them for that then. However, it doesn't change the fact that their day-to-day operations leave a lot to be desired.

Why are you so defensive about how much other individuals and businesses donated?

Are you getting paid to trumpet Walmart's good deeds?

Doesn't make a difference who is Donating Money or how much, this money no matter the amount, is given to those who desperately need it, and a worthy cause. The Point is not who gives more, it is the fact, that in a depressed economy, you still find the greatness of us Humans, at a time like this, not the amount of money that counts, but the fact the so many, have donated, no matter how little, no matter how large, just a matter, of helping those who need it so desperately, and for those in need to have the everyday essentials, that we seem to take for granted.

They make $600,000 in a SECOND. That's a drop in the bucket.

Maybe they'll hire some kiddies down in Haiti to make some t-shirts when their country gets a bit more stabilized.

You're the one who started a thread whining about who is or is not donating; and that Walmart was the best ever.

When people provided different information, you started to backtrack.

Your choice, but consider your credibility.

I'm NOT impressed...that's the same percentage of wealth as me donating one cent...They (WalMart) should be embarassed. However @ least that anti-union anti-American company did donate something...probably defective merchandise they cannot palm off on their regular shopping "zombies"!
