Wow, another one! You're getting boring. Learn the difference between whining & making a point, you might surprise yourself. Til then, try to be a little more interesting, ok? Thanks.
So stop marriage for all and just call them civil unions? Would that be ok with all the heterosexuals?
I agree; get govt out of marriage entirely. Civil unions for everyone...then off to the church to get married if you so desire, depending on your religion's definition of marriage.
If your church recognizes marriage between a man and a parakeet, by all means have at it.
Yes. As it should have been. Regardless of my personal views on the subject, the people do have the right to work to change the Constitution (U.S. or state) to either expand or deny rights.
After stating time and time again that judges should make the final call, proponents of Gay marriage in CA are now adamant about letting the voters decide.
Location: I currently exist only in a state of mind. one too complex for geographic location.

sorry, you are very interesting and I take you very seriously. especially at night when you're loaded and even more yippy.
First the voters opt to ban same-sex marriages and now the CA State Supreme Court upholds the ban. It would seem that proponents of this non-traditional marital status aren't actually the clear cut majority they believe themselves to be. Hopefully this will conclude all the inflammatory rhetoric and life will go on but I fear otherwise.
that is one way to look at it. Or, you could say that it is legalized discrimination. What makes that ok?
There is already talk of it being on the ballot for 2010. It will eventually pass and same sex marriage will be recognized here in California, it's only a matter of time.
