Did you see that 30 Houses Progressive Democrats, who penned a letter urging Biden/Harris to consider diplomacy in this conflict, withdrew it within 24 hours?
As an opponent of the left, I should have theoretically laughed out loud until my midsection hurt given this was an embarrassment to the Progressive Caucus. And while I do believe the Progressive Caucus pulled this stunt (the letter) trying to minimize what may be serious losses to the GOP in the midterms, had Biden/Harris pushed Ukraine hard from day one to negotiate with the Russians, it's likely many of those who have died so far would still be alive.
Pramila Jayapal said via a written statement that the letter "was drafted several months ago, but unfortunately... released by staff without vetting."
How ironic that the Progressive Caucus asked Biden/Harris to look at diplomacy again - and how quickly it was shot down.
But as you wrote, if the right people make money, then who cares how much money is being sent?
Yup.
The road is becoming more and more difficult for Biden and the Democrats. I think it's too late for them to do anything concerning the mid-term elections to save themselves since this election is only a stone's throw away. The sanctions have not collapsed the Russian economy as was expected, the Ukrainian offensives have stalled out, and the outlook looks bleak. Of course, diplomacy and negotiation is off the table. Their only option is escalation as I see it.
The Russians are vastly outnumbered by the Ukrainian forces, that is why it is strange that Ukraine cannot prevail in Kherson. As for Bahkmut, the Russians there are also outnumbered yet they are making progress nevertheless.
As for winning or being defeated, I never said that Ukraine was losing and that Russia was winning. You didn't read my post carefully enough. Got it.
The best Russian soldiers, Wagner Group, are believed to be in Bahkmut, which is probably why it's a struggle for the Ukrainians as of now. Eventually, they should prevail like Lyman where the Wagner group had to retreat knowing that they would've been surrounded and killed.

Son of PayPal huh? The gist of the letter was more money for Ukraine even if it kills all of them.
Members of the Russian siloviki faction continue to voice their dissatisfaction with Russian war efforts in Ukraine, indicating that Russian President Vladimir Putin will continue to struggle to appease the pro-war constituency in the long term. The Russian siloviki faction refers to people with meaningful power bases within Putin’s inner circle who are fielding combat forces in Ukraine. Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov complained that the Russian response to claimed Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory have been “weak,” noting that Russia must “erase Ukrainian cities from the earth.” Kadyrov also claimed that Russia is now engaged in a war with Ukraine instead of a “special military operation,” given that Ukrainian forces are fighting on “Russian territory.” Kadyrov noted that he is unhappy with the lack of Russian retaliation despite the establishment of martial law. Kadyrov had remained relatively quiet throughout October
That's fine and is not a problem. At least some people benefit from that money. So it's not really a waste. And we can't run out of money, we just print more. We have plenty of paper and printing presses.
And the American people are overwhelmingly supporting this aid to Ukraine. Plenty of money for everyone. Well, not for Americans but that's fine.
Well, MIC is people
