There will be voices in the GOP that will want to repeal the aide but there simply will not be enough of them and Mitch has indicated the Senate will remain steadfast. So I would take the Tucker Carlson's GOP threat to Ukraine aide with a grain of salt. If it does look like Ukraine aid will be truly at risk then expect a massive package being passed during the lame duck session. Say 2 years worth of aid.
This guy agrees with you and he articulates his thoughts well. Russian agents are working hard to divide Americans.

No answers here but rather some things to consider.

1) How much damage do they really do as opposed to the PR of the Russians (we are crippling them) and Ukrainians (they just bombed an orphanage).

2) What pace can they sustain.

3) Is the damage material to outside support in terms of materials etc.

More AA/Anti-Drone systems are on the way. Dunno if they'll be enough to stop everything. Russian troops west of the Dniepro are probably going to have a really rough winter and find their position untenable. A Ukrainian counter-offensive on a third front is likely in the spring. I won't say where because everyone here seems to be an expert about the war and should probably be able to deduce it themselves. Maybe the Russian mil-bloggers will tell them. God help those new Russian recruits, hopefully their friends and family supplied them with enough gear to survive the winter. We should be sending the Ukrainians some bad-ass winter gear if they don't have enough already.

With the exception of expensive bridges railroads and railroad control centers can be fixed constantly and for way less cost than barrages of long range rockets and drones. The only way to interdict railroads is to have them within range of something much cheaper like artillery, or have them in your zone of control. Russia does not have that.

No, it's just going to make Ukraine even more reliant on Western aid for the foreseeable future.

I hope you like nation building.

Thanks for posting this...excellent analysis and spot on. And yea, Putin is going to throw everything he can a in the form of misinformation to divide Americans....and he will fail at that too. Putin is displaying to the world who he really is...a genocidal sociopath.
