Well, in an ideal world every country can do whatever it wants. Now, in the real world , things are slightly different. Was it up to the US to decide that Cuba can't host nuclear weapons? How many more examples would you like? The list is extremely long. But, I'll give you just one more because it's funny - we threatened ... Solomon islands over some remote possibility of a Chinese base, lol.

Then it isn't up to Ukraine whether it gets to keep the Russian-speaking territories, especially Crimea, which voted overwhelmingly for Yanukovych, who was illegally overthrown by literal Nazis in an American-backed coup.
In the real world, joining a hostile military alliance isn't some kind of right(just ask Cuba). It also isn't a right to build nuclear weapons(just ask Iran).
The reality is, when Ukraine chose to completely militarize their country and pursue NATO membership while the country was in the middle of a Civil War after an American-backed coup(and even talked of wanting nukes), they chose the path to war, just as Arestovych said they did in the video. The question is, why did Ukraine pursue the path to war? Again, just as Arestovych said in the video, it was because Ukraine was promised unlimited support by America. They believed they couldn't lose.
With that said, did the Ukrainian people vote for war with Russia? No. They voted for peace. Zelensky is a lying midget and I wish I could strangle his greedy corrupt ass for needlessly getting Europeans killed. He isn't European. He isn't Ukrainian. Which is why he can callously push Ukrainians to their deaths for his profit.

3/4) Neutrality for Ukraine doesn't mean it becomes Belarus. Austria and Finland were neutral during the entire Cold War. They aren't Belarus. Like 90% of the world is neutral. They aren't Belarus either.
Russia wanted Ukrainian neutrality and for Ukraine to implement the Minsk agreement. That is all that was necessary to prevent war and to restore Ukraine's 1991 borders.

If you think America is going to sit by while China and Russia built up a massive Mexican army, and hold joint-military operations on the American border, flooding Mexico with advanced weaponry, while Mexico even talks of wanting nuclear weapons and Aztlan, you're delusional. Russia(Putin) failed as now Finland is part of NATO and soon Sweden as well. So much for existential threat. Also at this point, it's pretty much guaranteed that Ukraine will be part of NATO, just the question of when.

Even if Putin succeeds in yanking away 1/3 of Ukraine, the other 2/3s will join NATO.
