I seriously doubt that, what's the source? I'm not finding anything expect:

Which is just a random interview with an Ukrainian official.

P.S. Neither side would agree to something like that, imo.

All those "Banana Republics" were military and/or economic dependencies.
Dude, honestly I'm getting bored watching you mentally masturbate with these leaps of logic. Russia is fighting hard in Ukraine to turn it into a dependent state, literal attempt at conquest. No mental gymnastics required to see this clearly, because Russia clearly lays down that as its objective.

Meanwhile, what we're doing in Ukraine is NOT conquest, by any stretch of the imagination. Ukraine is requesting help, we're providing it. It's only normal that we gain some benefits from that, that's how symbiotic relationships work. Welcome to diplomacy 101.

I already stated how we benefit in previous posts, but here's some more to make you feel not any better about it. After this is all over, Ukraine is going to be NATO's best asset. I would not be surprised if they either become a nuclear power, or at least host NATO nukes (like Poland is starting to talk about). Russia is now already owned in the Baltic Sea thanks to Finland and soon Sweden. And eventually, that's to be their fate in the Black Sea as well.

Thermal imaging to locate land mines:
The minefield planted by the Russians are large. So soldiers on the front line use thermal imaging and the mines, sill hot from the day, show up as white dots. The video shows the result.
Make a new path, or use an path newly discovered - those are the choices.

Pretty good video

Latest news coming out of Russia:

Russian POWs don't want to go back home until the war is over because if they go back, they will be sent to the front line again. They are also treated better as prisoners in Ukraine.

HIMARS M30A1 in action.

Ukraine used these rockets to take out a secret Russian base hidden on some island.

Diplomacy 101 can best be expressed by this quote from Zbigniew Brzezinski... "To put it in a terminology that harkens back to the more brutal age of ancient empires, the three grand imperatives of imperial geostrategy are to prevent collusion and maintain security dependence among the vassals, to keep tributaries pliant and protected, and to keep the barbarians from coming together."

Any country which is dependent, whether economically or militarily, is not sovereign. Period. That is the ****ing reality. If you depend on someone else for your survival, then you must do whatever they ask or die. US foreign policy has ALWAYS been centered around keeping other countries economically or militarily dependent on the United States. That is what "influence" means in geopolitics.

If you've ever studied "neocolonialism". It is not based on or require physical conquest. Again, you have no ****ing clue what you're talking about.

1) Whether Ukraine wins or loses, Ukraine will still be irrelevant. If Ukraine wins, Russia will collapse and Ukraine will no longer be on the "Eastern flank". If Ukraine loses, Ukraine won't be in NATO.

2) There is a 0% chance Ukraine will ever become a nuclear power.

3) Again, Finland and Sweden in NATO doesn't change anything.

Ukraine is only relevant because they are fighting Russia. Under any other context they are just another autocratic corrupt impoverished ****hole. An entire country of prostitutes, especially the government.

It's not "Russia" - it's America that chose to use Ukrainians as cannon fodder "till the last Ukrainian."

You can see it even in this thread - people are saying "and it's fine by us, as long as this slaughter of Ukrainians serves the purpose of hurting Russia." ( After all, that's the main reason why Americans participated in change of government in Ukraine, why Nuland and MacCain showed up on Maidan. But we all know it by now, don't we? )

Main American stooge in EU - Polish government, recently confirmed it as well.

“It is very simple,” Duda said. “Right now, Russian imperialism can be stopped cheaply, because American soldiers are not dying.”

As has been state many times, Russia is not fighting this war alone.
This highlights the failure of the U.S. foreign policy as of late. Obama tried to turn the tide in Iran - U.S. relations, but no we had the same old people who insisted on keeping them an enemy. Trump tore up the deal and now the U.S. has no leverage over Iran when we need it most. Why these same foreign policy people keep getting put in charge baffles me.

Whereas Russia and Iran use drones and artillery to destroy Ukraine, the rest of the world is using the dollar to destroy Iran and Russia. Every month those two countries become poorer and poorer.
It will never end. Russia may always exist, but it will never stop decaying.
Only problem is it isn't working. Iran has been under U.S. sanctions since the 70s yet they remain. They continue to make military equipment and they continue to threaten U.S. interest. you really need to learn to think outside of economics. Money is only one foreign policy tool.
