Red Wing Airlines is a small Russian airline. They have three Boeing 777's and two of them were grounded for lack of spare parts. Hundreds of Russian passengers bound for the city of Yekaterinburg have been stranded in Antalya, Turkey, for two days after a Red Wing suddenly lost two of its three Boeing 777 aircraft due to technical problems.
Sanctions.
They work!
Well sure, when you sanction the country, what do you expect when maintenance parts aren't available.
To all of you out there, still talking about the "official corruption ratings" of Ukraine, and "how much better they are comparably to Russia, what a great improvement there is."
In the first half of the year, revenues at the 25 largest Western defense companies rose 11 percent to $212 billion, according to the latest available data.
It is calculated that total arms sales by these companies are expected to reach $448 billion in 2023, an increase of $47 billion from last year.
By 2026, that amount could rise by more than 20 percent to $554 billion due to arms shipments to Ukraine and rearmament in Europe, according to the report.
I don't read or believe the MSM. Its you who believe Russian propaganda and far right sites that are as nutty as the MSM sites that still push the Trump-Russia conspiracy theory. You keep repeating the lazy, ridiculous talking points of the kooky far right media like the ridiculous comments you keep making against me.
The polls have consistently supported our Ukraine policy-both parties. You railed against the war then. Now that one poll suddenly says a bare majority oppose it you support following the majority in that one poll? Do you understand how absurd that position is?
There are legitimate criticisms. However, Serger is the only one on this thread who has come up with any. The rest is lies, half-truths, totally immoral positions that Russia can do no wrong combined with utter nonsense. I could do a FAR better job criticizing our position than anything I have seen on here.
You're Orwellian.
It's not Russian propaganda that the US has had the Monroe Doctrine and for 200 years told major powers that they can't create new military bases in our region.
It's not Russian propaganda that the US has toppled more governments and interfered in more foreign elections than any other country.
It's not Russian propaganda that the WSJ reported that western officials said they knew the spring offensive would almost certainly fail, but they pushed Ukraine to do it anyways fearing a stalemate and hoping Ukrainian courage could carry it to success.
No you're not.
Much of what you post is just made-up nonsense. When someone calls you on your nonsense, you never address it again. You can't. Because you just made it up.
To all of you out there, still talking about the "official corruption ratings" of Ukraine, and "how much better they are comparably to Russia, what a great improvement there is."
Yes. The Orwellian cult has to lie about Ukraine's human rights record, because the MSM and establishment tells them this war is about freedom and democracy.
Here is a 2019 article of Ukraine persecuting journalists for truth telling before the war.

The article you mention, says the journalists are in Russian prisons, persecuted by Russia? Very Orwellian to say false is true.
Quote:
The first journalist I want to tell you about is Stanislav Aseyev from Eastern Ukraine.
This October we learned that Stanislav was sentenced to 15 years in prison. The reason? Espionage. Last year we saw the only video of Stanislav in captivity. It was shown on Russian state TV.

The main character of my second story is Oleh Halazyuk.
In August 2017 Oleh was detained. (By Russian backed separatists)
—————-
I would also like to tell you the story of photographer Alina Smutko.
In February 2019 Alina tried to enter annexed Crimea once again. This time she was stopped. She cannot enter Crimea for nine years on Russian national security grounds.
—————-
I next want to tell the story of Mykola Selena, a very experienced Ukrainian journalist.
There is a particular law in Russia. If you say that Crimea belongs to Ukraine you can be put in prison for up to five years. Mykola Semena received a two-and-a-half-year suspended sentence, and has been prohibited from practising journalism.

The fifth and final of my colleagues whose story I want to share with you is Natalie Sedletska.
(Nothing seemed to happen to her)

… it is increasingly difficult to report from the territories not controlled by the Ukrainian government.
The collapse continues:
Reuters reports the Russian central bank has increased the interest rate to 12% in an effort to halt the ruble's slide. Russians are hoping the 12% rate will attract buyers of the ruble. The 12% interest rate will also effect mortgages, cars and everything else that is usually purchased on credit.
The Russian economy continues to unravel as sanctions make it difficult to do business.
Sky News reports Pavel Luzin, the acknowledged expert of Russian military affairs, says the Kremlin is inflating the numbers of it submarines. (LINK) Moscow claims to have 13 strategic submarines, but Luzin says "at best" only six can be relied upon. The rest are, in effect "zombie submarines" which cannot be used for duty.
The US claims 14 such submarines, with 13 fit for duty.
The deterioration of Russian submarines is a one-way street. Once unfit for duty, they likely will never be usable again.

You can blame Lira's detention on the United States. If they wanted him released they would have demanded it but he don't spout the narrative of The West. You think the leaders in The West care about their own citizens just look at this disaster in Hawaii and the way it is being handled. More and more money to fight a war in an Eastern European $hithole and nothing for Americans in need. The Ukranian border is somehow more important than our own. You buy into this nonsense in Ukraine you have to be brain dead.
