Going into WW3 and make millions of innocent people die for that backwards hellhole of a country which normally would have never had a chance to join the EU or NATO is the most unintelligible thing, nonetheless the sheep eats it up and claps just like for the invasions after 9-11.
So Ukraine is not such a wonderful country? Does that therefore mean that they should be invaded, their schools and playgrounds bombarded, train stations and apartment buildings shelled, significant share of the population displaced? You think Ukraine is not all that hot, so therefore Russia is justified in doing whatever it, excuse me, HE (Putin) pleases?

Recall the robust US response to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. Do you think that was because of our deep admiration for Kuwaiti culture and democratic ideals?

No, it was because of the Kuwaiti oil, of course.

The war didn't start in 2022. It started in 2014 when Luhansk, Donetsk, and Crimea declared independence after a US-backed coup installed an anti-Russian government. Kiev refused to accept their independence and went to war against them. Ukraine was intent on resolving the Donbas and Crimea question by force regardless of the wishes of the people who live there.

Over the last eight years the Ukrainian Army has been armed and trained by NATO. It held joint-exercises with NATO in September of 2021 after Zelensky told anyone who is pro-Russian to leave Ukraine in August 2021.

https://www.president.gov.ua/en/news...itoriyah-69981
"The most important thing is whether you love Ukraine. If you do, you are Ukrainian, regardless of the circumstances, place of residence, and documents issued by someone. If you don't, you are a guest... If a person living in the occupied territory of Ukraine considers Russia the homeland, then it is better for this person to leave Donbas now. It will never be a Russian territory. No matter how long it is occupied. History will seize the moment, and this wall will collapse… You love Russia, you think that you have been in Ukraine all your life and felt that it is Russia, then in the name of your children and grandchildren you have to go and look for a place in Russia. Because without Ukraine there will be no civilization in this territory." - Volodymyr Zelenskyy

The reality is, an invasion of the Donbas by Ukraine was inevitable. The conflict wasn't going to remain frozen in time forever, and Ukraine's Army was getting stronger by the day. Russia felt like it had no choice but to act.

Zelensky ordered the Ukrainian Army to defend from apartment buildings and residential areas and to not give up an inch of ground until it is completely flattened.

It was because of oil. Rofl. The United States has no principles. We only have interests.

It was.

Russian intelligence overslept it seems, and was not aware that Ukrainians were ready to intercept this mission from Ukrainian territory.
So today Russia kept on sending rockets into the western part of Ukraine, hitting the ammo depots ( I assume that's what it is, because what else this can be? )

https://t.me/natalia_maximus_ZOV/15347

So this was Khmelnitsky yesterday, now something is flying into Ternopol, and I see a huge fire in Kharkov. ( Some factory is hit?)

With that being said, no matter how many rockets are now going to fly into both directions, this doesn't remove the outcome of what's going on on the battlefield.

So if the Russian MoD still hopes to win the war by the "technical" and "economic" means alone, I don't think it's bound to happen.

Using that "logic", Russia should invade it's neighbor North Korea...
why don't they invade North Korea...Russia borders it and North Korea is corrupt....

It's not all bad news for Putin. He is still successful at kidnapping Ukrainian children. This is how Russia commits genocide.

In fact, that's what you say about everything you don't want to believe. Thankfully, the force of your beliefs is nil.

Russia will eventually fail in this war and that failure will destroy the Russian economy. Because of economic losses, demographics, sanctions and boycotts it will never be able to grow back into a significant military power.
