IMO, giving children anything to prevent any kind of normal growth and development is nothing short of child abuse.

(And I am just waiting now for someone to decry my use of the word "normal".)
This is nothing more than child abuse. I totally agree. Let the person's wiring in their head and let nature runs its course. When the person becomes a full-fledged adult, then and only then could that person decide what his or sexual identity is In order to get his or her sex change
And I guess us taxpayers have to pay for the sex change too.

Exactly. There's always some nut saying something weird.

Best not to give them any attention.

Biden would go along with it and probably pay for out of taxpayer funds if it bought him a few more transgender votes.

Fast forward a couple years to when this has become a liberal cause célèbre, and you'll be posting NYT articles about the urgent need for hormone blocking legislation.

Slow your roll, player.
I can never tell if it's a joke or not anymore.

The problem is, crazy people who were considered "outliers" 10 years ago have managed to get many of their crazy ideas mainstreamed into the public policy discussion, because nobody wants to argue with crazy people until it's too late.

This is a completely logical outcome of the ridiculous "assigned at birth" terminology.

That became mainstream on the left very quickly. Hopefully we will see it die just as quickly.

On the contrary, some states now allow you to change your sex on your birth certificate and/or allow parents to state the equivalent of "undecided." Others (probably with significant overlap) will not let parents try to persuade their 8-year-old sons they are not actually girls because that's considered "conversion therapy" and child abuse.

This because we ignored these crazy nutcases until they couldn't be ignored any more, by which time it was too late.
