Careful saying that-they take it as a challenge. Some left-wing idiot is sitting there reading your quote getting ready to say "hold my beer".
Don't you mean, "Hold my guava-infused hyacinth tea"?
Actually, I rather like it when people respond in support of such nonsense. Unless they wrie a logical and reasonable post to support such ideas (which happens, imo, about 0.001% of the time), or they are obviously being sarcastic or just trying to get a rise out of conservatives, or they make me laugh at loud, they make it very easy to add their names to my Ignore list so that I don't waste my time reading their posts in the future!
"The high court ruled that children cannot give informed consent to treatment that may render them sterile"
"England’s high court last week highlighted some of the problems that can flow from such thinking. The case concerned Keira Bell, who says she was rushed into life-changing medical treatment when she was 16, which she now regrets. The process began with drugs that delay puberty. These are typically described as reversible and a way to “buy time”."
Throughout the article there are a lot of "we just know", like how the drugs suppress other development. I would particularly concerned about brain development.
“The bottom line is we don’t really know how sex hormones impact any adolescent’s brain development,” Dr. Lisa Simons, a pediatrician at Lurie Children’s, told FRONTLINE. “We know that there’s a lot of brain development between childhood and adulthood, but it’s not clear what’s behind that.” What’s lacking, she said, are specific studies that look at the neurocognitive effects of puberty blockers."
A transgender “trans activist and science writer” is calling for the mandatory prescription of puberty blockers for children until they can “consent” to their bodies’ natural development and choose a gender for themselves.
“If children can’t consent to puberty blockers which pause any permanent changes even with the relevant professional evaluation, how can they consent to the permanent and irreversible changes that come with their own puberty with no professional evaluation whatsoever,” tweeted blue check verified Twitter user Zinnia Jones (also known as Zachary Antolak), a biological man who identifies as a trans woman and runs a blog by the name of Gender Analysis.
What if more children chose to be boys than girls? Seems like a very real possibility, given that the boys get to play with all the cool toys, like Nerf guns and GI Joe action figures and science kits that simulate volcano eruptions, whereas the girls are stuck with tea sets (actual tea sold separately) and dolls. (At least, the children who aren't raised by the likes of Zachary Zinnia Antolak-Jones.) How will we, as a society, shame these children out of their blatant sexism?
These are the sorts of things that one must worry about, if one allows themselves to follow the advice given by people who aren't able to determine their own gender, despite the evidence being right there in their mid-sections, plain as day.
The Middle East is starting to make sense and not look so bad.
That's a bit of a stretch, but yeah...
There is a reason why Russians are watching all these developments in disbelief from afar, growing more and more reluctant to accept the "Western values."
"mandatory prescription of puberty blockers for children"
Wow. Who's woman is this? Come get them.
I wonder what the general consensus with the Trans community thinks about this.
He's a man.
