Firstly, the amount of "black gold" in Texas is laughable when compared to the world's reserves.

Secondly, please illsutrate which legislation enacted by the Feds has not been supported by the States.

Hint: you wont' find any because the Fed IS the States, in Congress.

America truly is about to come full circle. The oppression of the common man is unprecedented and growing by the day. However, the issue can and should be resolved without taking up arms. Perhaps a national divide, before national implosion would remedy the situation. Liberal minds on one side, conservatives on the other? Who do you think survives? We are truly at a point where the ideologies cannot co-exist, this we know for sure. The opposites are polar now.

One thing I know for sure is that we have not seen anything yet. Something each and every one of you, liberal or conservative should prepare for. The bailout is failing and when the debt comes due, the federal and states will fail also. Obama speaks of and predicts a "double recession" and he is wrong. It will be, as I've predicted all along......Long recession, then depression, then great depression II. Are you ready for this? Cause its coming!

As for the Federal government as stated in the OP. You are right in the issues described, all designed to take away and control the masses. Every aspect in our lives today is regulated and controled by big government. EVERYTHING! The government has lost touch with the the common person out there and what they need and want. The government means well, in trying to make and keep everything perfect, but they fail to realize in taking their actions, they are squashing the private citizens of this country.

But for that matter if Texas wants to go we should immediately close all of our Military Bases and Federal facilities there, just in case

Why should America have troops in Texas
This is probably a good idea. Close them down now and build them somewhere else. Good luck getting the funding necessary to do that.

Texas cannot secede, but it has the right to break up into 5 smaller states. The reason for this was Texas was created during the slavery days, and the south was running out of room to expand, thus creating more legislature in favor or slavery. Texas pride didn't really exist yet and it was big, so if the pro-slavers wanted they could break Texas into 5 smaller states giving the south 8 more pro-slavery senators. Fast forward 100+ years and Texas pride is huge; no way the state would split up into 5 smaller states. Even if it did, unless it was horrible gerrymandered like it is now, around half of those Senate seats would go to democrats; Austin, hill country, south Texas, El Paso, and the border areas aren't as conservative. Rick Perry just likes attention.

Firstly, please example this "oppression".

Secondly, neither side would prevail in your example, and both would fail uttely.

Both ideologies are supposed to work together to balance each other. Conservatives acting as an achor of tradition and actual conservative ideals to keep the prog-lefties from running the Nation roughshod into the ditch, and the prog-legites dragging the conservatives along kicking and screaming out of the Dark Ages into the 21t Century.

Luckily, we Moderates are helping to cushion the partisan hackery and "us versus them" mentalities that have grown over the decades and resulted in both sides of the aisle more interested in power grabs to further their own agendas then seeing their employers, We the People, happy and content.

And please, spare us the doomsday rhetoric. This Nation has survived far worse than we see now and came out of that pig sludge squeeky clean and smiling.

I'm looking forward to it. I'll hold the rope when they deal with secessionist and other traitors. I am sick of their whining and complaining, go for it!

I have a suggestion for those people who hate America under Obama....Move to Iraq. You probably supported that war anyway.
