The account that raised over half a million dollars before they shut it down?

That's a lot of moula considering her attorneys are supposedly working pro bono.

Not that I believe this letter or not, so far no evidence, but, if her friend did take a poly, one of the questions is related to if you ever been coached for the poly. If she is employed via poly and she lied, she can be out of a job.

Woke up to these bombshells courtesy of Rush this morning. Have to look for stories to read more. I knew Grassley had taken statements from two men. Who is the other guy?

I doubt anyone takes Julie Swetnick seriously any more but in case you do, here is what her own father said.

Supposedly the job was for the FBI.

She left the FBI (after 24 years) in 2016.

and I think he will vote yes. Nothing new. at this time has surfaced. He said yes, but he wanted the investigation. He got it, so why would he vote no?

The poster that you're responding to attached an article describing Ford's birth family as Republicans with a friend from one of the brothers' early elite school days discussing how difficult it was as their community (neighbors, friends) took sides.

One of the brother's daughters now goes to Holton Arms, where Ford made some sort of school donation in her name.

Their father provided comments that they are proud of and love their daughter but there's no statement they support her in the decision to go public.

I probably would not. From the "evidence" (the article) that attorney-brothers chose not to shop lawyers for Ford is hardly for surprising. At a minimum, that could have led to difficulties with their own DC-based partners and/or clients.

There's lots to be "suspicious" of, sure, in various stories - but thatis not one of them.

I don't pretend to know what really happened (although like many I responded with an opinion based on what I heard from Ford and Kavanaugh). This will stand or fall on its own merits, with (my take) Judge's "final" testimony relevant. He may well lie (with understandable motivation) but if so, that's still the end game. Ford even if attacked simply does not have the proof - and an unsupported allegation almost 40 years later simply is not sufficient IMHO.

It's a win-win for the Conservatives. If Kav gets confirmed, the SC makeup is in their favor for the next 20-30 years. IF he doesn't, it causes a red wave midterm and they get a new, potentially more conservative in Kav's place, then replace RBD once she is gone.
I have no idea if Kavanaugh will make it to the court or not. If he likes beer as much as he says, his liver is not going to last another 20-30 years so why are both sides so crazy over this?
