Heard on the news now that the FBI report will not be made public, only Senators will have access to it. McConnell says the vote will happen shortly after the FBI completes the report, this week.
Not making the report public is just going to allow for both sides to leak small portions of information that enforce their argument for/or against. That stinks. I guess if some witnesses want their testimony to remain confidential it makes sense but there should at least be a public report that summarizes the findings.
At this point in time, I really don't care about Kavanaugh's conduct over 35 years ago. Although it was and is reprehensible and Ford will be emotionally scarred for the rest of her life, accountability for his actions should have taken place many years ago, IMO. By not doing so, she became an enabler.
The real issue is the fact that Kavanaugh has proven himself to be unfit for the SCOTUS with his Senate testimony. He showed the nation he does not have the temperament, gravitas nor non partisan judgement skills necessary for the position.
The man has demonstrated that he is a partisan, biased, loose cannon unfit to be a judge in any judicial system.
As with all high powered individuals, it's never the crime that brings them down. it's the lying and cover up attempt after the fact that does them in.
It should sink Kavanaugh the same way it sunk Nixon and a host of other high powered individuals. It will ultimately sink Trump also.
The new liberal talking point. Unfortunately for them, it's a big fat losing one. Alleged sexual assault is one thing, but someone is unfit because he passionately defends himself? Bring it on.
Its obvious Judge K does not have the temperament to be a supreme court judge.
Both were coached.
His inability to control himself and/or choice to project a challenged temperament probably does not help his public perception. Her inability to remember does not help her case.
My opinion is that both of them are misremembering.

Of course it will be leaked but hopefully not until after the vote. Everything gets leaked.
Democrats will likely bring up how Kavanaugh has neither the temperament, the independence, or the credibility to be an impartial Justice or even a competent one.

And if Ford had "passionately defended" herself in the way that Kavanaugh did the right wing would be skewering her as a complete baths*t crazy nut (although despite her calm demeanor, some already do). Somehow, though, Mr. McFratboy not only gets a pass for that totally fake performance, he gets lauded for it.
Flake will be a no vote on Kavanaugh confirmation this week regardless of the results of the fbi investigation he called for last week.
Speaking with Jeffrey Rosen, the president of the National Constitution Center, and Democratic Senator Chris Coons at The Atlantic Festival on Tuesday morning, Flake called the judge’s interactions with lawmakers “sharp and partisan.”
“We can’t have that on the Court,” said the Arizona senator, who didn’t elaborate on which interactions he was referring to.
