It must have really griped you when his ego defeated Hillary Clinton.

No that's not why.

You are over simplifying -- misunderstanding -- projecting -- just plain ole making stuff up.

Trump is a traitor for refusing to firmly and publicly accuse Putin of being a brutal killer who ordered the meddling of the USA election.

There is no threat of war -- therefore no need to make peace.

Ok... Russian hacking happened on Obama's watch and he chose to do nothing or little about it. so why no outrage toward Obama.

Link to McConnell nixing Russian interference known?

Jesus! Ok so you wanted Trump to say to Putin in public "you are a brutal killer who ordered meddling in elections"? Again, that would have accomplished what?

Trump has now quite effectively neutered that plan.
It's more like Putin has quite effectively neutered Trump. As the world has seen.

Of course they are. Its hard to make someone understand something when their livelihood depends on them not doing so.

I'm sure you'd be hard-pressed to find a person who would say they don't want the US to be on better terms with Russia. That's not what this is about.

People are upset because Russia has been proven to meddle in democratic elections around the globe, including ours. It's common knowledge at this point, and the evidence for it abounds. Russia wanted to do whatever they could to sway the election in Trump's favor, and Trump refuses to acknowledge it or give Russia their rightful blame. It's dishonest of him to say otherwise, and a slap in the face to any patriotic American who can't stand the fact that Putin stuck his dirty little fingers in our pie. Seeing our president stand next to Putin, knowing what he did, and affording him compliments as opposed to taking a hard line on him made Trump look like a little weakling.

Of course, you already know all this. I get it. It's embarrassing when the person you support messes up, or has to admit an adversarial country might've helped get him elected. It's a hard pill to swallow, but it needs get down anyway. Trump messed up. We all need to hold his feet to the fire.

Russia has always meddled with us. This isn't nothing new. It goes all the way back to WW2 era when they stole our nuclear secrets. And guess what, we hack other countries too. The election meddling should have never been a major issue in the first place. Even if we prove they did it, what will change? Russia will continue to deny and keep on meddling. The only solution ahead is to be smarter and counter cyber warfare.

There was NOTHING Trump could have done that would have given him praise with this summit.

Would this work for Dems as moneill suggested?

Trump to Putin: "you are a brutal killer who ordered meddling in elections"?
