Only if the brainwashing has been successful, as it appears to have been with *ahem* some people here.

Cigarette smoke is less harmful than the smoke coming off your backyard BBQ, or a campfire. Haven't seen you promoting the discontinuing of those practices, however.

Stop giving people ideas, please. And yes, there are some here who have tried to limit BBQs and fireplaces/woodstoves have controls on burning some days. Backyard "campfires" are actually banned here unless in a fire ring or chimenea.

People don't stick their head in their backyard BBQ on an hourly basis.

It was pure genius to sell things that make you sick along with things that make you better.

I didn't read the entire thread, but I'm not seeing those posts that you predicted from Republicans. The thread is about 7 hours old now. Can you produce even one post where somebody threatens to boycott based on infringement of freedoms?

If not, I'm going to say that your post is a good example of a liberal's magical thinking leading them to ascribe things to conservatives that are not true (albeit perhaps true of libs themselves).

The numbers for "tobacco related" illnesses or events are COMPLETELY fabricated.

For instance -

A friend of ours recently had a minor stroke. This woman drinks like a fish, is very overweight, eats TONS of processed/garbage food, and smokes MAYBE two (2) cigarettes per month.

Want to guess what the "cause" of her stroke was, according to her doctors?

ANY illness or event that can be tied to cigarettes, however peripherally or tangentially, is. It's a giant social engineering scam.

Might want to stop selling the ingredients to make crystal meth while they're at it.

Different areas will have different product lines. Just within the last year or two, the 7-11 stores in this area started selling hard liquor. I have a bottle of whiskey in my desk that was bought from a 7-11.

"Progressives" have a very bad habit of making chronic use of the strawman fallacy. This is just one more example in the sea of examples we see daily on this forum.
