Not long ago during the GWB administration, the media and other leftist fanatics were screaming how badly everyone was doing. Never mind that unemployment was 5% and inflation and interest rates were low. Nearly every person they asked said they were doing well, and they couldn't even name a close acquaintance who had been laid off, had their hours reduced, or gotten their house foreclosed. But they were all convinced that lots of people, somewhere, were having all those difficulties and more. And so our economy must be in terrible shape!

Now here we have the same leftist fanatics telling us that Obamacare ain't so bad after all. Never mind the millions who have been kicked off the policies that they preferred and have served them well for years. Never mind that now they can't find policies they can afford or deductibles that will put them in the poorhouse. And the leftist fanatics themselves are admitting that their new Obamacare policies are costing 30% more. But they are sure that somebody somewhere out there is doing better... but they can't name one. But Obamacare must be a boon. It must, it must!

These leftists just keep moving from one alternate reality to the next, without ever stopping to take a deep breath, or looking around at what is actually going on.

Ten years ago the media and other leftists were swearing the country was in bad shape, though they themselves were doing fine and so were all their friends.

Now they are insisting things (especially health care) are doing fine, even though stories are flooding in about people in bad trouble with rising costs and govt penalties if they don't obey... including the leftists themselves.

Will these silly people EVER start noticing what their policies are doing to actual, normal Americans?

Or will they just go on, believing their own lies, and telling everyone that the bad results are someone else's fault?

Seriously. Because premiums and deductibles weren't getting higher and higher each year before ACA.

So . . where did these talking points come from that were cut and pasted no less than 3 times in this same thread?

But let's review what this is doing.

To keep monthly budgets inline with income, many middle class are opting to a higher deductible.
Our plan went from an already high of $5000 deductible and it was like not having insurance, to now a $10,000 deductible, that I would never be able to meet, if I had an hourly or salary job. How could you meet your monthly budget when you just make it month to month. There goes a car payment... Savings for the kids college, gone. Winter heating bill? May need to make your own fireplace! and get a saw and axe.

This bill was not about our healthcare. Not one bit about healthcare. Healthcare.gov is very misleading. It should be Insurance.org.
This is nothing but to make insurance companies money, not to lower any cost or better more efficient healthcare. It has noting to do with healthcare, when you pay a high premium, and still have to pay for all the doctor bills.

The rich can afford higher deductibles, but the middle class cannot, so they are out of pocket more putting them further toward the impoverished. 2 class society is the goal.
I know someone who didn't understand the terms deductible, premium, etc... and just recently realized how crappy of a deal she got and feels betrayed that she will have it worse than before Obamacare. I just reminded her that this is what she voted for. Hopefully, she be more knowledgeable and not believe snake oil salesman and vote in 2014.

I'm glad that welfare thing is working out for you, but the law is pretty tough on those who are pulling their own weight.

No, there would be huge taxes that increase every year to pay for the leeches.

Simple mathematics...
Too bad we can't have a national referendum on Obamacare. The simple mathematics of # hurt vs. # helped = Ocare goes down.

People can complain all they want about how everyone is paying more for the ACA but most arent. People who are paying more are the people who had already high policies bought on the open market. Thats a small percentage of the people who are insured and its a smaller number who are now paying more because they are outside the FPL. The funny thing is I am almost on a cadillac plan with no deductible and very small copays through my employer for just a little more money. Their is no way the ACA is going to run out of money as many predict. The insurance companies kind of remind me of some of the investment scams where they promise a return on all the profits, except they never make a profit. In this case the insurance companies are supposed to spend 85% of the money on health care. The way they cook the books and are allowed to set aside money most people wont get a return. Now my insurer has set aside more than a billion dollars. The coming year should be interesting though.

If you have an employer sponsored medical plan - why would you even bother getting your wife her own policy instead of adding her onto yours for much less money?

Congrats, you are now paying for and subsidizing other peoples Insurance through the additional TAX.

I'm sure you could have used that money to send your kids to college but there are worthless men in
this world who refuse to work and their Baby's Momma needs that money way more than your kids.

From this point forward please call it what it is.
Absolutely true. It is yet another tax on the producer class.

Employer's are not covering spouses under group plans anymore. They are only required to offer employee and dependent coverage through ACA
