Maybe someone should tell the pope that the really tyranny is unbridled socialism.
If he needs proof all he has to do is just look in his own backyard Italy and what unbridled socialism has done to that country.
I wonder when he is going to start liquidating the BILLIONS of dollars of wealth owned by the Catholic church in favor of the BILLIONS of Catholics living in abject poverty. Of course, this will never happen, because socialists only want YOU to be poor, not them.

You really aren't that familiar with this pope are you? But hey, better to attack the messenger, then the message right?

No, I'm not, since I'm not a Catholic. But I do know that the Catholic Church is one of THE RICHEST entities in the world and that Catholics, are by and large, the poorest religious group in the world. I am able to put 2 and 2 together. If the Pope is really the "good guy" that he pretends to be, he will spend less time making commentary on political issues like same sex marriage and more time distributing the wealth to the people who are starving under his watch. Isn't that what good socialists do? The ones that hate capitalism?
"Since his election, Francis has set an example for austerity in the Church, living in a Vatican guest house rather than the ornate Apostolic Palace, travelling in a Ford Focus, and last month suspending a bishop who spent millions of euros on his luxurious residence."
As an ex-Catholic, I can tell you that there has never been a pope like this. He lives modestly and humbly, setting the example he wants his flock to follow instead of simply preaching one thing and living another. In this era where a fraction of the population holds an ever increasing proportion of the wealth, this is exactly the voice we need in the world right now.
I live modestly and humbly and very much appreciate capitalism.

I wasn't too happy to hear the Pope's comments about free markets. That being said I think there is a place for private labor unions and collective bargaining for private workers. They give a balance to greed, which is naturally occurring in the human species.
I would think any Christian faith worthy of the name would condemn avaricious capitalist economies that drive large portions of their population into poverty while rewarding a relative few. Don't they all call for eschewing riches in pursuit of spiritual rewards? As far as I can recall only the Reverend Ike was up front about pursuing wealth as a religious principle.
