The ACA is protection for consumers that they would never have had in the health insurance marketplace. Insurance companies can deny you or drop you for pre-existing conditions, raise your premium, deny coverage based upon paperwork errors and just arbitrarily ********* over...on a whim. No one was immuned to this type of vulture practice, even the people that are up in arms over their fabulous insurance being cancelled.

The right wingers are the only people that ALWAYS rant against their own best interests, whether it be doing away with pollutants, toxins, unhealthy food additives, regulating non-consumer friendly and fraudulent business practices and now protection from junk or unreliable health coverage. Are you people crazy or just plain stupid?

ACA is more than just protection for consumers. It goes way overboard and impedes on our freedom. It's not all bad, and it's not all good.

rubbish. if you liberals really wanted to "fix" health insurance, you didnt need a 2700 page bill and 20,000 pages of subsequent regulations to do it. a few changes to the previous laws wold have done the trick. obamacare is not about health care, its about control over the people and you know it. if you dont then you are truly naive, or completely ignorant about how big government works.

You should read my post that you just quoted. You are completely wrong.

You should change your name to "brainwashed". The irony, according to your post, Romney imposed that same control over people at the state level.

IMO I think most people are mad they are being told what they want and not asked if they want it.

The noise you hear is our freedom being flushed down the drain. Americans are not use to that. We might have it with our taxes but not as close and intimate to us as with our healthcare and what doctor we can have.

I don't think Obama won due to Obamacare. However, I think if the truth about how Obamacare was going to impact us came out, then he likely wouldn't have won. Quite simply, if he had been an honest broker and told Americans the truth, they wouldn't have voted for him. His choice to lie about this shows that he understands Obamacare is not a worthy law. It if were, he would have been comfortable telling the truth about it during the election.

no, romneycare doesnt go anywhere near as far as obamacare goes. yes there is an individual mandate, and an employer mandate, but the restrictions on insurance companies are far less than what obamacare does, and romneycare didnt entail 20,000 pages of regulations like obamacare does, and romneycare was a STATE level deal, not a federal deal. the myth is that obamacare and romneycare are identical, and that is not true. check them both out for yourself and see the differences. romneycare didnt add a bunch of new taxes lime obamacare does, and the people of mass. like romneyare, the people of the US dont like obamacare.

If Obamacare plans are so great, why do people have to be forced to buy them? Why the mandate? If they're so great shouldn't people want to buy them on their own?

Exactly right. If he told the truth no way would he have gotten elected.

No- He won the 2012 election because the average American is now an idiot incapable of processing simple data and information. Only a fool would have voted for more of the 2008-2012 "performance". Of course he was lying about Obamacare, taxes, immigration, fiscal policy, "war on women", Benghazi, IRS, ect.... There is a sucker born every minute (and the dems are very thankful for this).

We are seeing what the second term of Jimmy Carter would have looked like.
