Does it not scare anyone that this guy does not seem to know anything at all about anything at all happening at any time? He just seems to know nothing all the time.....

The church publicly did something that the left has claimed for years violates their tax exempt status. Are you arguing that political speech from the pulpit is O.K.?

Are you saying that we shouldn't address what appears to be clear violations of ones tax exempt status?

There is no evidence that any of the groups the IRS targeted here did anything wrong. Your argument boils down to the idea that since we arrested Jerry Sandusky it's understandable if the authorities investigate every assistant coach.

Yes. He's The Teflon President. Nothing sticks to him. You would have to wonder why he's not asking for heads to roll with all of these people, departments and agencies doing things behind his back and/or not informing him they have done it until it explodes in public.

Did you bother to read the story you linked to? I am guessing not, or you would not list that as a key part of what you label a "right wing durrr fest."

Yes, there was one church in CA that caught the attention of the IRS during the Bush administration. The tax exempt status of the church was called into question when the church began using the pulpit to deliver political commentary. There are very strict guidelines for religious entities with regard to maintaining tax exempt status. The article attempts to compare the review of one church to the targeted harassment of over 300 groups due to their titles. It is quite plainly apples and oranges.

Obama himself has come out and said, based on the initial findings by the IRS IG investigations as related to the White House, that what happened here was wrong. A quote from the President “If you’ve got the IRS operating in anything less than a neutral and nonpartisan way, then that is outrageous, it is contrary to our traditions,” Obama said at a news conference. “And people have to be held accountable, and it's got to be fixed."

I am sure that the White House was not involved in what was going on at the IRS. Not saying that at all, but the fact of the matter is, he is the guy in the big chair, so it falls to him to lead the efforts to fix it. All the attempts to marginalize, and spin this issue by liberals as a non issue is just ridiculous. Dems in the House and Senate are already calling for full investigations. Try to keep up with what those of your ilk that actually hold office are saying.

Now we know why the IRS wanted all those firearms and extra ammo.

The only reason the IRS is even apologizing is simply political and PR. They did absolutely nothing inappropriate!!
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama on Monday called the targeting of conservative groups by U.S. tax officials "outrageous" and said that any Internal Revenue Service employees involved would be held accountable.

Default "Secret Working Group" Set Up within IRS to Target Conservative Groups

Apparently the IRS talking points were as bad as the Benghazi talking points. They may as well have said it was spontaneous audits sparked by a video.
So last night we learned the IRS scandal goes all the way to DC and includes both the current and former heads of the IRS.
And today we learn that the IRS may have set up a "secret working group" for the express purpose of harassing conservative groups.
Wonder if they had the Justice Dept. tap the phones of the conservative groups too?

An attorney for a Tea Party group that believes the IRS targeted it for special scrutiny while applying for nonprofit status said an IRS analyst told him over a year ago that the agency had a "secret working group" devoted to investigating conservative organizations

"More than a year ago, one of these guys, really a slip of the tongue, [said] 'Yeah we have this new working group that's really looking at all these conservative organizations,'" Backer said. "And that's when we knew it was gonna be a problem."

I mean seriously, if some of the republican loyalist regulars that post here called themselves "centrist" we'd all be LOL'ing at them too.

Don't feel bad though, the birthers don't see themselves as being biased either. They are just patriots!
