They have created a large problem with their definition that tax-free groups only need to be "primarily" involved in social welfare. How do you go about determining if a group fits that category, seems like it gives them a open ended license.

This would not be a problem, if taxes were not based on prosperity and property.
It is counter productive to tax an individuals labor and land. It makes you as an individual, feel owned.
Tax consumption and not labor. The rich will pay more taxes as they buy more expensive items and more items than those with less.
How is this any different than the IRS flagging those for audit who claim the home office deduction? They flag those who are statistically more likely to violate regulations. Those applying for 501c4 status, who have political names, is an obvious red flag.
Defending this action which they admit they probably broke the law makes you look bad. They asked illegal questions and had an agenda that was political.

Whatever... Have at it. Republicans have been trying to assign every screw up that happens in gov't to Obama, regardless of how little involvement he has in it. This is no different. Republicans will not change their tactics, and the rest of America will continue to ignore them, especially when the inevitable "impeachment" talks start.
Face it Republicans: you've lost all credibility when criticizing Obama. The vast majority of people don't have the time or inclination to see how (in)accurate your claims are.
