I haven't heard stupider logic in a long, long time.

Who the hell cares if Romney releases tax records and who the hell cares if Obama releases a birth certificate? What about judging a politician by their actions and results produced (not that Obama has produced any meaningful results)?

On Jan. 15, 2012 the agency decided to target “political action type organizations involved in limiting/expanding Government, educating on the Constitution and Bill of Rights, social economic reform movement.,” according to the appendix in the IG report, which was requested by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and has yet to be released.

I don't see the problem. Political groups aren't supposed to be registering as nonprofits.
Did you read your quote? "educating on the Constitution and Bill of Rights," Why would they focus on those groups?I have no issue with the IRS enforcing the law. I do have issues when they choose who to audit based on political, religious or racial criteria.

But, don't you see the knee jerk response? It was Ws fault; because he appointed the current director. It is always Ws fault. How convenient?

Because there is a difference between handing out copies of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and handing out literature that says that President Obama wants to destroy the Constitution. One is educational, the other is propaganda. A non-profit group can have a bias, can distribute propaganda. But the MAJORITY of its activities must be non-political. And that means that the propaganda must at least appear to be educational, and not political. Since many organizations seek non-profit status as a way to keep their political activities secret (non-profits don't have to reveal their donors, for instance), it's incumbent on the IRS to assure that the organization is, indeed, using the MAJORITY of its resources for non-profit, non-political purposes.

In an even and fair manner. That wasn't done here.

As usual, the right wing nuts go off half-cocked. This faux-outrage is starting to become routine with these people.

You didn't present any fact to support your claim.
