The IRS investigates groups... fundamentally opposed to paying taxes.

The justice department is now saying "there may have been laws broken"...

Somewhere attorneys are working overtime to weasel these guys out of criminal charges.

This just boggles the mind to no end. The IRS admits to wrong doing, issues an apology and liberals still find ways to spin and doublethink this. They admitted they did wrong. For liberals how pride themselves on being so "smart" why is this so hard to accept?

It's one thing to be molded into a useful idiot by the state but to mold yourself into one is something else. They admitted they have gone to far and what they did was wrong and libs seem to think they didn't go far enough and did nothing wrong. The govt admits to abusing it's power and libs seem to not mind it or even outright defend it because it suits their ends. It's like they are begging for tyrannical govt as long as it fits their twisted agenda.

How in the name of the seventh hell are you people spinning that they didn't do anything wrong when they again admitted that they did?. I see no point in any right winger arguing with a ******* on this with their silly talking points. Why when the IRS said what they did was wrong, only an idiot would argue otherwise to an admission of guilt. But liberals are masters of cognitive dissonance so it's no surprise that they doing so.

IRS Office That Targeted Tea Party Also Disclosed Confidential Docs From Conservative Groups

"The progressive-leaning investigative journalism group ProPublica says the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) office that targeted and harassed conservative tax-exempt groups during the 2012 election cycle gave the progressive group nine confidential applications of conservative groups whose tax-exempt status was pending."

The reason I post that was because *******s seem to think the Tea Party and other similar groups deserved the extra scrutiny and harassment because they brought it on themselves. (I know, silly talking point and spin, but what can you do?, they're liberals). So what spin will be used in giving confidential information you gained through harassment to their opposition?. How did the Tea Party bring that on themselves?

Lets see what stupid liberal spin will be used now.

On a closing note, funny how right-wingers have for years been saying the govt have been unfairly targeting them and liberals laughed it off as "right wing paranoia". Now that actually proof of this came out, it's now "right wing hysteria". So before it was just in our paranoid minds, now that liberals can no longer dismiss it as paranoia, they are now saying we are being hysterical, what did we expect?, we're a bunch of evil, rich, white, racists so of course we deserve this. If you ever needed a real example on why is talking to a liberal is like nailing smoke to a wall, this is it. And these people fancy themselves as the smartest people around. smh.

Ah yes, the after-birthers are in full distraction mode now including the claims of tax cheating without proof.

How about Marc Rich a CONVICTED billionaire tax cheat pardoned by Bill Clinton on his last day in office. Never did a day in jail.

See, I didn't even have to make up the claim....unless of course you've seen Romney's tax returns which I once would have dismissed as possible.

I've locked horns with you before, call me anything you wish, nobody enjoys paying taxes, not conservatives, not democrats, not tea party activists, not independents, not libertarians, nobody.

Tax evasion is a wonderful thing until a person, company or corporation is caught doing it.

If the IRS targeted conservative groups, like the tea party, then the tea party shouldn't have gone around America spouting trash. Like I said in another thread, the squeakiest wheels get the most grease, in other words, those who complain the loudest and longest are usually easy to point a finger to.

You never made a point anyone could understand.

I wonder how much the Madoff family made off with? Seems if you're in the billionaire's club, there's nothing to be concerned about.
And CONServatives wonder why America has a revenue and spending problem.

Anyone else except for a handful of people wonder why republicans wanted to abolish the IRS?

By that logic, Martin Luther King and other civil rights protestors kinda had it coming for "stirring up trouble".

I guess the tea party should have just kept quiet and sat at the back of the bus.

The after-birthers get scarier and scarier in support of oppression that targets those they dislike politically.

I'm not sure. Has the IRS acted impartially in going after such groups - ever? Isn't it always hard, when the administration is one party, to actively go after their support groups?

If the IRS is renowned for not touching such groups in the past, then that is even a greater injustice than targeting those of only one side.

If the Democrats clean house of Republican wrong doing during their reign, then the Republicans will return the favor, later. If this happens, then our democracy is well served, and we all win.

Instead of a 'hands off' policy, we should all be demanding that both sides be audited for wrong doing.

Madoff was doing the same thing the government does.....
Madoff is a saint, compared to this administrations actions over the last 4 years.

Well ya know, the tax haters came out of the woodwork when Obama was elected to the first term, I wonder why that is?
In fact, Obama hadn't been in office 90 days and they were already calling him a Nazi and a socialist.
