We will see in November eh? And no matter what, win or lose, I will be writing to my senate and congress asking for Obama's arrest. So far as i am concerned he has acted as a Traitor in what i mentioned before and in the Dream Act, and more.

The government can mandate that a certain percenatge of our energy is domestically produced, its been done before and created jobs.

But the OP isn't talking about defense spending, they are talking about entitlement programs, like social security, medicare, food stamps, welfare, unemployment, etc.
It is a miracle that we agree on something Of course, no conservative wants to brag that he will cut DOD spending. However, there are ways that it can be done without hurting our military. Now, the entitlement programs also need to be cut down. Again, we can do this without hurting the people that really need it. Lets face it... Obama isn't cracking down on domestic welfare. And, repubs aren't serious about cutting defense spending.

Hell, Romney wants to increase military spending. The military isn't even asking for it. All while saying you want to be fiscally conservative? What a weird reality this is.

Considering what is happening right now it's a very valid question

well, thats because defense is basically off the tables. Like I said, there are ways to cut spending without sacrificing the mission. We can cut civilian contractors (they are supposed to be temporary workers anyway) while increasing our active forces. The recent embassy attacks have turned the tables on any anti-military type of talk though. Obama might want to pick another battle.

This country is failing because the wealthy are NOT paying their fair share. Isn't that what all you repubs want..."FAIR"???? I call BS on your propaganda.
I call BS on you paying 30% on a middle class income.

I don't feel "entitled" to share in the financial success of others, but it happens all the time. When my credit union is successful, they are able to make loans more readily, and generally at a lower interest rate, and they are able to pay more interest on money deposited there. When my local grocery store is financially successful, I benefit from paying lower prices via good sales, and also by being able to walk to the grocery store rather than driving to another, more distant store, thus saving me money in gas & vehicle wear and tear.

As for your other question,

You demand the government takes more and more from those other people over there, because they have more than you do.

History. Progressive taxation in this country goes back to Abe Lincoln and the Revenue Act of 1862.
Where does redistribution of wealth come from, Gene. The first time I heard in modern thinking it came out of the mouth of Barack Hussein Obama. His kind of progressive taxation isn't the kind you are talking about.

the top tax rate was 91% half a century ago. Like it or not, de facto redistribution goes hand-in-hand with progressive tax rates, and they have been progressive from their inception.
