Chanting USA is now racist (independent, high school, children, officials)

When the intent is racist then yes it's racist. The folks chanting "USA" where doing so to imply that the non-whites on the other team where not US Citizens. They intended it to be racist.
Funny how the media gets only half the story. The game was between Edison (Predominetely Hispanic School) and Alamo Heights (Predominetely White School)) Before the game even began the Edison Fans (just a few) were chanting " Alamo Whites, Alamo Whites". When Alamo Heights won the game, their fans chanted USA USA ( I guess as a comeback) My brother was there as he is a scorer for the district. We were both surprised this is even a news story....just the media machine hyping up nothing.
Thanks for posting both sides. Sounds like something that would happen at a school event. The students don't think and chants start and the teachers can't prevent it..only stop it after it starts.
So some "facts" come out. Where is the starving puppy now?
New facts are out showing that while it was a response to the other team saying "Alamo Whites" it was still racist so you in essence are agreeing with the fact that it was racist....regardless if said first or second.

It's not unless the intention is racist. It clearly was as was the "Alamo Whites" chant. Doesn't matter who started it there was bigotry intended.

Yes it was racist. Do you understand that this racial polarization also exists in the schools ? Now ask yourself WHY ?
