Probably not, but I expect they can and should block all nominees going forward, tie legislation or anything else obama wants to rescinding these illegal appointments.
Oh, the minute the head of the new behemoth consumer division makes a rule, he will be sued.
You see, not only did obama violate the constitution with illegal recess appointments, he is breaking his own law of Dodd-Frank, where it STATES very CLEARLY, the dept head MUST be confirmed by the Senate.
You know, the Left is cheering this outrageous, illegal, political, partisan move by obama, but do they really think normal people look at what he is doing and approve?
It's pretty obvious they don't care if "We The People" approve or not
1) Again, two words: John Bolton
2) Are you really too slow to understand what kind of vote it takes to impeach a president? How do you figure 41 Republicans will be able to become 51?

Another lefty who doesn't know his butt from Page 9 about the impeachment process. I would try to explain it to you but since you aren't a small child I will take it for granted that you know very little about what the Constitution says about such things as impeachment. The entire process is explained in fairly simple English in the document he is killing.
I must tell you that the Senate does not do the impeaching. They have a trial after the House impeaches. You tell me how the few Dems there can keep it from happening.
"Aw man, we don't wanna let Obama make recess appointments. Who does he think he is? Any other president?"
"I know what we'll do! OK, so here's the plan: We're all going to leave Washington. We're going to go home to our families for the holidays. We're not going to show up for work. We're not going to vote on anything. We're not going to be around at all or conduct any business. But we'll SAY we aren't in recess, and then he won't be able to do it!"
"So let me get this straight - we won't be there, but we'll say we're there even though we're not there and we're not disputing that we're not actually there?"
"Totally!"
"Brilliant!"
Schoolyard BS.
Your last line is a very good description of your post. Have you found out about the procedure used in impeachment, yet?
When will Harry Reid start telling us that he had declared the Senate out of session before they left? He is the big Dem, you know?
Come on. You have to know that there is no way to impeach all those who are still alive because they haven't died yet. I merely said that the House should impeach him although the Senate will never throw him out.
What I am saying is a recess appointment is something virtually every President has done. If it was actually an impeachable offense, basically every President in our history would have been impeached over it. It doesn't suddenly become an impeachable offense because you don't like Obama.
do they really think normal people look at what he is doing and approve?
Honest question - do you really think that normal (in other words not posting in a politics forum on city-data) give two ****s about this? And don't cop out with the whole well if they don't they're ignorant response.
The GOP won't touch impeachment b/c it'd be political suicide.
I really don't like what Obama did just because of the precedent. The dumb-ass democrats gave the GOP the idea of calling 30-second meetings every 3rd day to stonewall recess appointments, and now thanks to Obama the next Republican president has carte blanche to use the recess appointment even when the Senate is technically not in recess.
Probably not, but I expect they can and should block all nominees going forward, tie legislation or anything else obama wants to rescinding these illegal appointments.
How's that any different from what they've already been doing for the last year or so? Big deal.
Both sides are bending the rules here. Obama is pushing recess appointments when the Senate is not actually in recess, and Senate Republicans are pretending to be in session when they aren't actually in session. Democrats did the same thing when Bush was president.
Personally, I would employ the same tactics if I was president. It's a rational response to an increasingly gridlocked Congress where Republicans are using every procedural trick in the book to stop the Executive branch from functioning. I say either get someone in this damn agency or else pass a law to repeal it.
If 0bama's reelected Id think it would begin the day after inauguration...
Haha if Obama is reelected, then moving to impeach him the next day would be giving the middle finger to the voters. Even the Republicans aren't that dumb.
