The Republican Party spent a lot of time and resources trying to impeach Pres. Clinton for lying about sex. However, now the GOP believes investigating war crimes of the Bush administration is a "waste of time". Go figure!
Quote:
Shameless Republicans feel it would be detrimental to America to investigate whether former President George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and other Republicans committed war crimes by ordering the use of torture and, if justified, prosecuting them for breaking our laws.
Republican hypocrites didn’t feel it was detrimental to America when they investigated, hounded and tried to impeach former President Bill Clinton for lying about sex.
Given the Republicans’ twisted morality and logic, committing war crimes or treason does not rise to the level of lying about sex.
Remember: Former President Ronald Reagan and Vice President George H.W. Bush sold weapons to the Ayatollah and were not impeached. Now Republicans are livid that President Barack Obama is merely talking to those they consider our enemy

Reason: quote mistake
Unfortunately, everyone in Washington is so locked into their respective parties and will tolerate almost any behavior from the members of their parties. It's dispicable.

The man was disbarred because he gave false testimony before a supreme court justice, with an agreement that the court would not seek charges for perjury.
Where did Bush do anything that was not approved of by the congress or senate?
This is a horse, you guys never get tire of beating.
Obama has repeatedly said that America "does not torture" when pressed for an opinion on waterboarding. What Obama has NOT said is that "If we detain an indidvidual that has crucial information regarding an imminent attack on Amercica, I will NOT allow waterboarding to get that information." Reading between the lines, even Obama knows that he must do whatever is necessary and that all options are on the table.
For those *******s that need translation: "In the public view, I will be the antithesis of George W. Bush. Behind the scenes, I will do whatever it takes to keep America safe, just like George W. Bush did."
Liberals may feel warm and fuzzy inside over the so-called "torture" memos, but I personally believe that Obama has steadfastly refused to take those options off the table with is ducking and dodging of direct questions. "America does not torture" is the new tag-line, but that's all the details we get. The torture memo dog-and-pony show the Democrats have paraded through liberal minds is nothing but a facade, and the liberal electorate has fell for it, as evidenced by the OPs thread.
But if you insist on re-hashing blowjobs in the Oval Office, why wasn't Clinton doing a "blow job" on Osama Bin Laden when he had him in the crosshairs?

More Republican hypocrisy.[/quote]
No but they do impeach for perjury and obstruction of justice. Oh and there were Democrats that were for it too and Republicans against it! Get the story right. And he got a contempt of court citation after.
Clinton was impeached on December 19, 1998, by the House of Representatives on grounds of perjury to a grand jury (by a 228-206 vote) and obstruction of justice
Two other articles of impeachment failed — a second count of perjury in the Jones case (by a 205-229 vote) and one accusing Clinton of abuse of power (by a 148-285 vote). Four Republicans opposed all four articles, while five Democratsvoted for three of them and 1 Democrat for all four.
"Simply put, the president's deposition testimony regarding whether he had ever been alone with Ms. (Monica) Lewinsky was intentionally false, and his statements regarding whether he had ever engaged in sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky likewise were intentionally false ... ."
However, one year later half of Americans said that they supported impeachment and 42% disapproved of the Senate's decision to keep him in office. [12]
While Clinton's job approval rating rose during the Lewinsky scandal and subsequent impeachment, his poll numbers with regard to questions of honesty, integrity and moral character declined
