Uncle Ruckus is one of the FUNNIEST characters on TV, but you have to sort of "get it."
^^Excellent post, a hugely funny show....loved the comic strip before that.

I especially enjoyed the MLK episode and the relatives that moved in after Katrina etc etc.

Watch the MLK episode.

If you aren't a big fan of over the top satire then it just may not be your cup of tea.

Or watch the "itis" episode...brutal social commentary on everything from corporatism to the drug epidemic.

Trash TV? LOL...Boondocks should be a conservative dream if anything. You obviously have no clue as to what you're talking about.

Well, I think there's ONE thing about this show that would make a conservative disagree..... just sayin'.

My thing about Uncle Ruckus is how the people who he offends in real life is black people, if Ruckus was white, many whites would be. Afraid of that. Uncle Ruckus is the bully a lot of black people need. Its just better to hear the cruel truth from a fat ugly black man than the average white person. The Boondocks has the potential to be one the greats that made the comic to cartton transition. People should not compare it with Family guy & southpark, those shows are crass, where ass The Boondocks has many messages in each episode.

I find the series very politically incorrect and thats why I like it. It's refreshing to see people ignore the touchy feel good types.

This goes to show you how dumb blacks are. You'd never see a jewish cartoon living up to stereotypes with a Adolf Hitler type character. Blacks are totaly lost as a race.........gone and not coming back.

Yes! I am black!

I think the show has a good cross section.
The sterotypical
The average
The conservative
and then the butt kisser

Black people use the word ALL THE TIME. Aaron Mcgruder even admits it as did Dave Chapelle. Most blacks don't use it around whites for various reasons, but the common dominator is comfort. Most blacks are not comfortable with whites they don't know & visa versa. The ni99a moment concept also proves most blacks are uncomfortable with other blacks. Does anyone ever notice the n word is never used around Sarah & Jasmine on the show? The Boondocks is not for dummies, but they incorporate a lot of silly stuff in it to get the social dumb to watch.
