Compare that in both scope and import, to what the Republicans accomplished over a period of six years of control of both houses and the Presidency. There simply is no comparison.
So you think 94 laws passed by Congress in two years is a record of accomplishment?
Well, I guess it is if your yardstick is money spent and freedoms restricted and if you measure success by the growth in government power, then you are correct. It's quite an accomplishment.
But I would be surprised if 94 laws is anywhere near a record.
no, not a chance....I won't reconsider...
Politically I'm on the fence....as I do believe both sides of our government are horrendously corrupt...
However,
Obama managed to have 2 of the worst months for deficet ever, but criticized pork barrel spending then signed a spending bill that contains nearly 9,000 of them, some that members of his own staff shoved in last year when they were still members of Congress. 'Let there be no doubt, this piece of legislation must mark an end to the old way of doing business, and the beginning of a new era of responsibility and accountability,' Obama said." ??????
he passed a stimulous package that has not created jobs.
this year our budget deficit, is 1.5 trillion
he stated that he was unaware of the tea parties??????
Obama’s quest for socialized medicine gave Congress the go-ahead to produce nightmarish healthcare legislation.
From the ill-advised cap-and-trade bill to the fiasco at Copenhagen, Obama’s energy policy will cost Americans more money for energy while U.S. energy resources are left untapped.
The President left our allies out to dry while gaining nothing by giving up the missile-defense system in Eastern Europe.
Despite his claim that his presidency would usher in a new era of
bi-partisanship, it has yet to happen.
And The President doesn't directly effect the economy...he doesn't have that much power.
the president is showing strong favorability ratings and job approval ratings. he is tracking miles ahead of bush at the end of his presidency, a little better than bush before his reelection but nowhere near bush after his post 9/11 high.
I honestly don't know who will be elected in the Presidential race of 2012. My intuition tells me that Obama has a very good chance of reelection.
The title of this thread is "Anyone still with Obama?" and I will say yes, Obama has millions of supporters. The people who are opposed to Obama, those who hated him from the very beginning and never voted for him, have a fantasy that everyone in the US has turned against him. Not true.
I agree with your post. Additionally, the Republicans do not seem to have a good contender for 2012.
Really? Which of the available idiots would you admit supporting?
None or third party are both perfectly acceptable choices. They may not agree with your endless desire to maintain a Nash equilibrium, but fortunately not everyone thinks like you.
Really? Which of the available idiots would you admit supporting?
I have been trying to elicit an answer to that several posts back, but nobody appears willing to answer the question.
