Excuse me, but I distinctly remember GW Bush saying on a televised speech "everything for Iraq".
GWB talked a lot of trash about nation building and then proceeded to do just that in Iraq. Have you forgotten that?
McCain wanted to stay in Iraq for 100 years if necessary. Palin supported that. Have you forgotten that too?
Ronald Reagan bombed Libya in 1986 over a bombed night club in West Berlin. Do you consider that a war? How come Ronnie can bomb Libya, but Obama can't?
Facts are VERY INCONVENIENT THINGS for Conservatives and Obama haters.
The following is based on Dow Jones Industrial and Bureau of Economic Analysis stats:
When Barack Obama came into office:
The Dow Jones Industrial Average had decline about 24% in the years George W. Bush Jr. was in office until the day he left.
The economy had NEGATIVE GDP growth.
January 2009 non-farm payrolls showed a LOSS of 779,000 month.
Personal income had decreased on a quarterly basis from Q3 2008 to Q1 2009
Starting in Q1 2008 until Q2 2009 Government Receipts declined every quarter.
Starting Q3 2007 until Q3 2009 Gross Domestic Investment fell in every quarter.
Private Fixed Investment in this country FELL every quarter in this country from Q2 2006 until Q3 2009
Exports declined in Q4 2008 and they decline for every quarter until Q3 2009
Since President Obama has been in office;
The Dow Jones Industrial Average has risen about 50%
The economy has had positive GDP growth for the past 6 quarters.
Non-farm payrolls have increased since October 2010.
Personal Income has increased every quarter Barack Obama has been in office.
Government Receipts have increased every quarter since Q2 2009.
Gross Domestic Investment has increased every quarter since Q4 2009.
Private Fixed Investment has increased every quarter since Q3 2009
Exports increased in Q4 2008 and they increased every quarter since in fact U.S exports are now at RECORD LEVELS. In fact since President Obama has been in office exports have increased 25%.
In the face of overwhelming evidence President Barack Obama has not destroyed the economy. The economy has actually had a slow steady and persistent recovery. Any statement to the contrary is more likely based on ideology, ignorance, hatred and misinformation than it is on fact.
He and his Democratic Congress have accomplished a lot for Americans. As I've said before, given that this president has had to deal with a global economic meltdown; the imminent collapse of major U.S. industries; the bleeding of millions of jobs; 2 ongoing wars; uprisings and protests in Iran, Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen, Bahrain and Libya; several massive international environmental disasters, especially Haiti, and Japan; several terrorist attack attempts here in the U.S., not to mention the bitter fight the Republicans waged against him every step of the way, it's amazing that anything got done in this country, let alone the sheer magnitude of what did get accomplished.
October 15, 2009: Enhanced Partnership with Pakistan Act of 2009
October 19, 2009: Foreign Evidence Request Efficiency Act of 2009
October 22, 2009: Veterans Health Care Budget Reform and Transparency Act (http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Veterans_Health_Care_Budget_Reform_and_Transparenc y_Act - broken link)
February 23, 2011: Obama declared the Defense of Marriage act unconstitutional and will no longer be defending the cases in the 1st and 2nd circuits.
Compare that in both scope and import, to what the Republicans accomplished over a period of six years of control of both houses and the Presidency. There simply is no comparison.

Ah, so you're a single-issue voter. That's too bad, since you aren't going to get anywhere near what you want from Republicans, and a second term for President Obama will allow him the "breathing room" to start tackling some of the bigger issues instead of mostly having to bail water from this sinking ship. I hope you'll come to reconsider.
I honestly don't know who will be elected in the Presidential race of 2012. My intuition tells me that Obama has a very good chance of reelection.
The title of this thread is "Anyone still with Obama?" and I will say yes, Obama has millions of supporters. The people who are opposed to Obama, those who hated him from the very beginning and never voted for him, have a fantasy that everyone in the US has turned against him. Not true.

Since Obama has also been in the pocket of Wall St. and Fannie/Freddie, I come to doubt that many who are leaving and not coming back are doing so only because of Libya. They're probably also going to skip voting for him because of the Stasi Act, Gitmo, escalating Afghanistan, and continuing Iraq.
After the beatdown you gave Upton the other day for leaving the Obama camp, you're proceeding right along past denial and anger, and now you've entered the bargaining phase with:

I see that your list has expanded quite a bit in the last week. I would be ashamed to include your last thing for MY President. Do you not know that only the Supreme Court has the power to declare any law unconstitutional? I guess you don't and just won't believe it. Don't think that the separation of powers in the Constitution means anything. Are you one of those of the left who believe that separation of powers applies to the two houses of Congress? Oh yeah, there those who think like that.
I guess I am still 'with' President Obama. However, if a better candidate comes along in 2012, I will go with said better candidate. That is the philosophy of a 'rational' person.
Of course, even it a new Republican star were to arise and seize the national fancy and get elected, I expect said new Star to also disappoint me at times. After all, I've voted in every election since 1972, and the best one can reasonably hope for is to get a president who will be practical, works well with both parties, and will not sell us down the river.
I may as well note that I voted for Nixon in 72 (I was young and thought that you do not change presidents in the midst of war). Here are my other votes:
1976: Carter (Ford simply was not presidental. His "WIN" button (Whip Inflation Now) was silly.
1980: John Anderson, a third party candidate with no chance to win. I was just starting law school. He appealed to people like me.
1984: Reagan. I still hate his relationship with the Japanese automobile makers. During his years the number of Japanese-made cars allowed into this country skyrocketed (remember also, when he left office, a week later he went to Japan and picked up $2 million for giving a speech to said automobile makers). However, I was unaware of that in 84.
1988: George Bush the Elder.
1992: George Bush the Elder.
1996: Bill Clinton: I ended up liking him, and I was not a real fan of Bob Dole (I was in awe of his service to the country in WWII, however).
2000: Al Gore. Being a rational person, and a lawyer to boot, I never, ever thought that George Bush the Junior 'stole' the election or such nonsence. Once the Secretary of State for Florida 'certified' the results, that was the end for me. Heck, if Gore couldn't even carry his home state, then he should not have been president. I was more 'against' George Bush than "for' Gore, based on the crap Bush and his cohorts did about using 'public domain' measures to yank people out of their homes in order to build a super duper parking lot for the new Ranger stadium. I am a firm believer in private property ownership, which Mr. Bush is not.
2004: Bush: nevertheless, Mr. Bush gained my respect after 9/11. I hold no grudges.
2008: Obama. I liked Senator McCain, but he was just a bit too old for me to vote for, since I figured that he would die in office, and I was not keen on Ms. Palin. I also liked Obama's speeches about hope and change. After all the elections I have seen, it really did sound like a change was coming. Oh well. Yet, I may vote for him again if the economy keeps improving and he gets us the heck out of Libya, Iraq and Afganistan. If Newt runs, I will for sure vote Obama.
Jill61 - Thanks for the list of reasons I still support President Obama despite his continuation of the Petroleum Wars. Now if we can get some, preferably all, of the latest bunch of RW lunatics out of Congress in 2012 this country would have a better chance of economic recovery.

If the Republicans cannot be expelled in 2012, at least the Obamatrons can have something else to place blame on to try convincing people to vote Democrat in the future.
Win-Win!
