I thought that generated one floating on the internet was done in 2007. Seems a little late in life, to be getting your first copy of a birth certificate, IMO.
who said it was the first copy?
( on a bit of trivia: eisenhower wasn't issued a birth certificate till he was in his 60's. reagan not until his 30's. )
did you miss Obama's mother's early passport records?

(1) the original, long-form 1961 Hawaiian birth certificate.
2) Marriage license between Obama’s father (Barak Sr.) and mother (Stanley Ann Dunham)
3) Obama’s baptism records
4) Obama’s adoption records
5) Records of Obama’s and his mother’s reptriation as US citizens on return from Indonesia
6) Name change (Barry Sotero to Barack Hussein Obama) records
7) Noelani Elementary School (Hawaii)
8) Punahou School financial aid or school records
9) Occidental College financial aid records
10) Columbia College records
11) Columbia senior thesis
12) Harvard Law School records
13) Obama’s law client list
14) Obama’s files from career as an Illinois State Senator
15) Obama’s record with Illinois State Bar Association
16) Obama’s medical records
17) Obama’s passport records
I mean a photocopy of a BC with a dated stamp, let's
say from sometime in the '60's or 70's, 80's, 90's or even early
2000's.

No one is saying that the 2007-generated document is the first one. Obama himself says he saw his BC in his mother's things years ago.
I was born in 1963, and never had my birth certificate until 1991, when I needed it for legal reasons. All I had was my birth registration notice; my mother didn't even realize that she never had my actual certificate. When I got my certified copy of my birth certificate from the State of Pennsylvania, it was a computer-generated form, not a copy of the original paper.
There are a million and one reasons why a person may not have their original birth certificate, or an old-style copy. I'd be willing to bet that few of those reasons are nefarious.

Yes, and now they're wanting his best man's name, and the names of the groomsmen at his wedding. I bet ole Geraldine F. never had to turn in that kind of information.
You know, the issue of Bush's military service was never really resolved, and some of the "evidence" that Dan Rather had was stuff like the birthers are now claiming, stuff about fonts and the like. And you know what? The country survived not knowing all that.
and that is exactly why Obama is doing the right thing. He is under no obligation to produce what they ask for, and if he did they would invent faults with whatever he gave them and demand more. Giving them anything now just feeds into the loonies' nonsense. if he produced the long form along with pictures of his birth they would not accept them as proof.
felt bad for rather, i think he had the goods on bush and the wing nuts turned the tables on him, and it lead to the swiftboaters. but did it matter, would nailing bush have changed history?

Highlighted in yellow on page 1,218 of the thick binder is the computer-generated listing for a boy named Barack Hussein Obama II born in Hawaii, surrounded by the alphabetized last names of all other children born in-state between 1960 and 1964. This is the only government birth information, called “index data,” available to the public.
Quote:
So far this month, only the Associated Press and one other person had looked at the binder, according to a sign-in sheet viewed Wednesday in the state Department of Health building. The sheet showed about 25 names of people who have seen the document since March 2010, when the sign-in sheet begins.
and Again, no one can get a copy of their "long form". They can only inspect if, it they decide to, but no copy, not photograph, nothing can be taken from it
Quote:
But those documents are state government property that can’t be released to anyone, even the president himself, said Joshua Wisch, special assistant to the state attorney general. Obama would be able to inspect his birth records if he visited the Health Department in person, but original records of live birth are never released, he said.
And don't know how many times it must be said:
Quote:
Before Obama’s campaign released his certification of live birth in 2008, he or someone with a tangible interest had to make a written request and pay a $10 fee to receive it, Okubo said. Wisch also said Obama obtained a copy of his own certification of live birth and publicly released it.
State privacy laws prevent a certification of live birth from being released to anyone except those with a tangible interest, such as the person named by the birth record or a close family member.
The document is generated by computer, based on original birth records on file with the state, Fukino said.
IMHO, the Department of Health in Hawaii just needs to stop giving any type of acknowledgment to the birthers.
No other photocopy stamped
