Now Obama's sister has come forward to attest that he was born in Hawaii. Problem is, she's the younger sister, so who gives a damn what she has to say. She's trying to make herself relevant so she can sell her book. Everybody has their hand out.
yea, once a right wing nut cherrypicked part of a phone call a reporter made, THROUGH a translator, to the grandmother. Later in the call the translator corrected the "lost in translation" mistake, but the wing nuts ignore that part.

I don't know what to make of the whole argument... certificate of live birth vs. birth certificate, etc, etc... But I do have one honest to goodness question that I hope someone can answer for me....
The picture of his Certificate of Live Birth says "Barrack Obama II" on it. We all know he changed his name to Barrack later in life. So shouldn't his birth certificate say "Barry" or whatever his birth name was?
If I changed my name, my birth certificate (at least an original) would still say "Mark" on in it, right?

Does anyone know what the story is with this?
We don't all know that he changed his name to Barack later in life. Barry was Obama's childhood nickname, not his given name - it's also the nickname his father took when he came to American in 1959.

I was under the impression that he changed his name to Barrack. At least that's what a Bio thing I saw on him said.

I don't know the whole story, but I have a pet hamster named "Mark"
He don't have a birth certificate but he might be interested in the outcome of your inquiry. I'll try to follow this thread closely and keep Mark updated.

???
He didn't change his name. He was born Barack Obama (one r) after his father but when his mother remarried I believe he was registered at the Indonesian school as Barack Soetoro, using his new father's last name.
