I think that if Gays would've waited 10 to 20 years to
challenge this in the SCOTUS Gay Marriage would've
been LEGAL IN ALL 50 United States , but since the
CHALLENGE UNDERTAKEN is when the CONSERVATIVE
hold a 5 to 4 margin it will fail...Because DOMESTIC
PARTNERSHIP and CIVIL UNION Grant GAYS THE SAME
RIGHTS AS HETEROSEXUAL HAVE.........A CONS will have
to Die or Retire In ORDER TO PULL THAT OFF...But If The
SCOTUS rules in The Favor Of GAY MARRIAGE...So What
I'm Just Going To Take My Kids On A Camp Out and go
about LIFE AS I Always Have.....

Breyer
Ginsberg
Sotomayor
Kagan
Kennedy

I see each of those five Justices voting to uphold the decision in Perry v. Schwarzenegger based on their records.

Personally, I think all the hoopla about gay marriages stems from people's fear that they might have gay tendencies. DH and I have known many gay and lesbian people, and really fail to understand what the fuss is about.

What do you care what others are doing with their lives? They aren't hurting you. They probably don't even realize you exist.

Actually, it rather does. If preknowledge is possible, there is no such thing as free will. If the Supreme Being knows (or even can know) every decision a human being will make, all decisions are predetermined. No free will.

Imagine we're face to face and I got up from the table and started hitting you with a stick. Would you have the right to protest? After all, I have no choice - my actions couldn't be any different, as it is known to the Almighty how events will unfold. (Don't worry, it's just a small stick.)

How bout we lighten this thread up with a little fun from the onion:

http://www.theonion.com/articles/pro...rturned,17877/

Last week, a federal judge ruled that California's same-sex marriage ban was unconstitutional, leaving many proponents of Proposition 8 scrambling for new ways to stop gay marriage. Here are some of their strategies:

* Launching a nationwide movement to redefine heterosexual marriage as "super-marriage"
* Nonstop purity balls
* Allowing students to shower with opposite-sex peers in gym class
* A cap-and-trade system in which homosexual couples can buy marriage credits when heterosexual couples get divorced or die
* Proposition 233, a new law requiring all couples who seek a marriage license, regardless of their sexuality, to submit a detailed plan for returning California to fiscal solvency
* If any of your uncles feel weird about it, the wedding's off
* Spend $90 million on a bold ad campaign for Oregon that highlights the state's quaint scenery, abundance of antique shops, and many nonjudgmental communities
* Just keep the protest signs in front yards comin'

not realistic of course, but good for a laugh. I personally like the one about the nervous uncle...

Do you think that blacks and other minorities should have just waited 10 to 20 years to get their equal rights? We have waited, while interracial marriage made legal in 1967. Equal rights should not be held up in court, nor put on the chopping block for christians to hack away at. Equal rights are for everyone; gay, straight, black, white, asian and on.

Since most states have banned both civil unions and same-sex marriage, your statement really doesn't make sense.

funny how now marriage is being granted by the courts to gays.. haters are all bustin out with "civil unions" are ok.. but NOT marriage..it's sacred or whatever
they said no to both when they thought they could vote on it...
it's like they can't stand for anything other than keeping gays down at any and all costs.. I mean which is it?

I'm done playing these games with them and their intolerant religious views.. lets get this to the supreme court and be done with it
