Nah, they’re not misleading, you just don’t like the proof.

Great to see you admit it, but they’re not just up, they’ve skyrocketed/soared.

Already did, you just don’t like it.

Why don't you provide data showing violent crime is not skyrocketing.

That would require effort. Easier to just complain and live in a fake world. Just like the protesters. They just rioted looted and burned our city for 4 1/2 years during a pandemic. Such bright bulbs they are. Bunch of led sheep.

With this type of attitude, you'll never listen to anything that disproves your point of view - you'll simply start arguing by playing games with semantics.

Homicide by firearm and firearm violence is up. Likely due to the fact there are more guns than people nowadays.

Regardless overall violent crime is stagnant and or declining. While gun violence has increased it is nowhere near 1990 and 1991 rates.

Again gun violence and homicide by firearms is up but overall violent crime is in decline. It looks like if we had more gun control violent crime would plummet.

Is it the guns fault?

They love to blame the inanimate object that can’t operate on its own. Deflects from the loser criminals that use them.

actually, the argument is the "accessibility of guns". this means that the potential is there, but without accessibility, most incidents would not result in gunfire, and maybe not even a physical altercation at all.

playing devil's advocate here, i admit this is a STRONG argument that does not favour guns.

however, someone can counter and say, rightly, that if rules, laws, and ethics prevailed, there'd be a minimization of "accessibility" to firearms, especially by minors and those w/ records.

Criminals will always have access to guns.

Folks love to blame guns versus the violent criminals that use them and vote for the soft on crime political figures that enable them to spin through the revolving doors of justice to become repeat criminals. Put the losers away for life or better yet capital punishment. Less violent criminals walking the streets the better.

Most gun violence per capita is widely high in the black community. Off the charts. Why does the law abiding need to keep lowering their standards due to the black communities negligence? Why? How low is our bar going to go? If certain communities need a stronger arm of control, they should get it in the way of a very aggressive police force in all out military style. The law abiding should be living with police that wave and say hello how is you day going.

I am tired of my life being dictated by the lowest forms of life. Sorry, but it is getting nuts. Control your own crime and live with the lives you create. Those of us in nice suburbs should have police that calmly come to us and discuss how nice flowers look this year.
