everything you wrote? all the same sh*, as far back as i can remember. even as a dirty-faced kid living in the fifth avenue expressway (Uptown, then, when people sped by at insane speeds, except for the junkheads making the right turn to look for heroin).

want to change this? i'll repeat myself in this forum, and no one in my real life, or here, even considers it: if we have to social engineer anything, it SHOULD be discouraging of having children. sorry - sure, kids are great, but the impoverished having kids....and ill get slammed for this...only perpetuates poverty, crime, etc.

and im not making this a veiled racial thing, OK?

its simple - dont have kids to justify your existence when you know how challenging it will be to provide for them a mentally sound home, safety, good education, etc.

yes, of course that is not a given, an absolute. there are American success stories that buck this notion. but the odds are stacked against you when you have children you are not ready for, when you have struggled for so long already, or frankly, that you should not have because you are immature and will never change.

they swarmed the shooters' residence in no time. so it was not some complex thing - they likely knew the girl. they are all minors, so it might not come to light, but i would LOVE to hear the whole story and what ended up as a shooting.

maybe this incident can be used to persuade / influence young people to take a different course of action, rather than one that is impulsive, destructive, and life changing.

but that might be hopeful thinking.

Those neighborhoods protect killers. That's why this happened.

I think shootings like this will increase and become very normalized. The old saying if you give them an inch they will take a yard. Giuliani and Bloomberg knew this and did indeed stop it. It is the only way. Talk is cheap. If you want results you need to use force. By the looks of things the sooner the better.

Bingo…combined with the regime of the last 19+ months…and folks keep voting for soft on crime political figures that defend and enable criminals like Summer Lee, Fetterman, etc…, while at the same time crying that something needs done but don’t do anything to stop it. They’re reaping what they sow, and the police officer shortage will make for interesting tv.

It’s great to hear that some folks in the city to the east have had enough. Could be coming to a city near you if Big Ed doesn’t do anything and the violent crime continues to go up

WHAT?!??!??! i mean....WHAAAAAT????

there are actually people there 'uncomfortable' with this???

am i on drugs and hearing that right? this is a guy who's property, his business, his livelihood, has been threatened, damaged...and he's using HIS money to resort to armed protection.

and people are UNCOMFORTABLE with that???? and the news entertains that (that is the worst part, that they devoted too much time to surveying people and allowing their "discomfort" to be a part of the story).

if i lived in that ****ing ghetto dump, i would ONLY patronize Mr. Patel, and put my money to him as a "thank you" for having the stones to actually do this, and to hang in there when he could dump that property and live with some rich indians in green tree, suburban NJ or miami or something.

oh, but people are "uncomfortable". are they comfortable with hooligans making our country look like a third world Clockwork Orange??? just get your gas somewhere else then, and **** off, idiots.

good for this guy and i hope others take note, and do the same where needed.

It is hard to believe, but with skyrocketing violent crime in the Lib run cesspool that is Philly, some are bound to get upset, especially when their livelihoods are at stake. https://abcnews.go.com/US/12-major-u...ry?id=81466453
