McCandless may be the lower end of the district but it certainly qualifies as a nice area per your original statement. And in no way is mid-tier housing in the 650k range.

It doesn't matter what the median is when you're looking for a place to live. If one is available at the price you're looking for, you can live there. That's how I'm (renting) in Lawrenceville for so cheap

I don't know with the maintenance fee that might end up being more.

Look Im not saying 650k is average like gladhands, but hes closer than you.

When the best you can do is a senior citizen complex and a 2 bedroom townhouse with 25 year old mechanicals, it might be time to admit you were wrong for once.

Didn't see where it was a senior citizen complex, and when did condo fees become an issue?
Could buy this:

Not close. It's easy enough to research real estate before following assumptions.

I will back off my 650k claim with regard to that particular school district. The data still supports my point that 300k puts you on the low end of that district. In all fairness, my original claim was that 650k puts you in the mid tier of most desirable areas, not adjacent areas that share a school district with more desirable areas. That said, I recognize that a lot of people choose their location based on school districts, so it counts.

I still say 650k puts you in the mid tier of Fox Chapel, Sewickley, Squirrell Hill, North Oakland or Shadyside.

Without even looking I'll easily say $650k isn't mid-tier in Sewickley.

People on here really need to drive up past the North Park Mall and see what is going on in McCandless. It's changed in 2 years or so. Tons of new development. I googled one new townhome in McCandless and it came up for $300,000+.

Whether it's 650K or 300K, that is still unattainable for most families. Going from Erie to Pittsburgh will be a shellshocker.

People should really get out of the city and visit the areas they comment about rather than constantly giving false info.

Other than Zelienople and Cranberry? Yes. I agree.

Until Chuck's went out of business you were a fan of Zelienople. I was just through Zelienople. Very little has changed before crossing the bridge.

Though entertaining, Cranberry should be the first as that's where the majority of false comments are posted about. The county line brings on a lot of assumed and clouded info.
