Well... sometimes birth mothers/families do give up their babies for adoption even after some bonding with the baby if the family situation is just that terrible. And life goes on. Parents need to do whatever is best for the baby, and those waiting for babies to adopt are in a better situation for raising that baby.
And imo, the birth parents and families should never ever be made to feel guilty for putting their children up for adoption. It's actually one of the most selfless acts of parental love.

I really think you need to read this thread before this goes further because honestly it offensive to Jersey and her daughter at this point.
I think it's so funny when people come into a conversation after 2000 posts, and they don't take redirection well when they have no idea what the thread has evolved into.
The baby is happy and loved. No need for adoption. That would be a great thread to start...the benefits of adoption.

Not only is the above true, the baby's mother is working hard at school to make a better future for herself and her baby. She has a tremendous support network in her mother and family. I predict 20 years from now that baby and mother will be a success story (already are in my book.)

This coming into a long thread to ask a question or make a comment without even reading it is a common complaints on CD. It is always best to at least read the posts from the OP if you can't take the time to read all the posts. You will get all pertinent information from reading what OP says further into the thread.
I didn't want to go down this road at all in the beginning and I can tell you it's hard on everyone. Not just the mob. It is especially hard on her but everyone in the house feels it.
However, I would not give up this baby for anything now. She has added a lot of joy to our lives. A lot of stress to but the good outweighs the bad.
Just wait until she calls you grandma, gran, gam, or nana. What do you want to be called Jersey? My child called my mom geegee. It's so cute.
Now she's older she says grandma, but my mom still prefers geegee.
I'm Nana.
I'm already looking forward to her first birthday and smashing her fist into cake and playing with balloons.
She has recently discovered she has a voice and yells herself to sleep. Not cry but tell. We crack up.
