I'm glad your sister is evacuating Hopes. They have at least 24 hours before things might get hairy there.

We've been through hurricanes while living in FL. The littlest things can throw you when they aren't available for a while. Such as, grass. My dogs need grass to go. I went to Home Depot prior to one storm and tried to buy some sod to put in the garage, but they wouldn't sell me less than a pallet. We ran outside during the eye of the storm, and took care of that business before the wind picked up again.

Many gas stations lose power, so filling your tanks in advance is a must.

Nature's fury is awe inspiring.

Sending all my best thoughts. That's a whole lot of family in a confined space moving slowly!! Hopefully they'll be able to stay ahead of the worst of it.

I am off to have a nice glass of Malbec. I love the fact that my favorite wine is under $7.00 for the large bottle. I hope everyone has a great night.

Passing by to send birthday wishes to those who have birthdays; get well soon wishes to those who aren't feeling great; encouragement to those feeling a little down; and 'stay safe' wishes to those in the path of Irene.

Virtual hugs to all - better than real hugs today because I think I'm coming down with something. Or maybe I'm just getting a little more decrepit.
