LOL...DH gets the AARP mailings...does not make him happy. He started getting them at 50. Seriously? At 50 most people still have a good 15+ years of work yet..so why the AARP?

Thanks for the chuckles tonight ladies!

I'm with those tired of cooking. I'm sick of beef and chicken, salad and pasta. Tonight I followed a very detailed recipe from the paper for tomato pie, since we have a bumper crop. DH ate it without complaint, but it was blah.

The best dinner I made recently called for diced fresh tomatoes, spinach and mozzarella, tossed with olive oil and basil, then mixed with hot angel hair pasta. I could happily eat that every night, and since the boys had second helpings, I think I can easily push it to twice weekly without hearing any moans.

Hope all the DH's start to feel better. I wonder if they worry about us half as much as we worry about them?

We belong to the AARP. We save a TON of money on our car and house insurance.

I have a recipe for tomato pie also....I think I made it once but just not our thing. Is it a "southern" thing? I'd never heard of it before but got the recipe from my dad's wife. They live in the south.

We ended up ordering Chinese. DH just got home.

Dew I think most of us are about to be banned because we can't stand people who JUST DON'T GET IT.

I am praying to the goddess (love you Julia ) that none of the CD Moms Who Rock get banned because we just can't hold back sometimes.
